I have absolutely no idea why the GBs waste their time trolling here or VB. I can't imagine it's very entertaining to snicker about us behind our backs.

I don't think it's ever construed as "behind our backs." Just uncensored and un-oppressed opinions of goings on. Some of it very snicker-worthy. I haven't been over there in years, but discussion of other boards had hardly been a dominant topic of discussion when I was there.

In the UK we are used to having CCTV cameras on every street corner and bus to be bothered about an eye.

It's the same in the U.S., except they're very good at hiding the cameras from plain site.

It is the same thing in the UK. When there is a murder investigation, they seem to have all the latest
wherabouts and details of what the person has done, bought etc.

The big-brother camera density in the US doesn't hold a candle to that in the UK, though it does exist.
