So, there is a store I just learned of today called Call It Spring
Call It Spring | Call It Spring Canada and they have their own line of vegan and PETA approved boots, shoes, handbags, etc. It's a very suburban-mall North American style boutique, and it is owned by Aldo, which is a large Canadian shoe company that produces very stylish but sometimes not-so-high-quality shoes, boots, etc.
I bought a nice pair of warm vegan winter boots from them today and am trying them out inside as I decide if I will bring them back for a more rugged pair.
There are admittedly lots of vegan boots available online, but I have tried that before and I find shoe shopping online to be unreasonable as fit is too chancy to get right or wrong.
I also looked through Canadian Tire winter boots for men and some of them seem to be 100% vegan without it being used as a marketing tool. Unfortunately the closer Canadian Tire to me did not have my size.

Perhaps marketing as vegan turns some types of prospective buyers off. Interesting.
