Hey everyone! 👋

If you’ve ever been curious about vegan jerky but weren’t sure where to start, you’re not alone! I recently got into it myself and was blown away by how tasty and versatile it is. It’s a perfect example of a snack that’s both a vegan gluten-free treat and a great source of whole foods plant-based protein.

Vegan jerky isn’t just a snack—it’s a game-changer for anyone who wants something convenient and healthy to grab on the go. Whether you’re hiking, working, or just Netflixing, it’s a great way to satisfy cravings without compromising on nutrition. Plus, the variety of flavors out there is incredible—spicy, smoky, sweet—you name it!

If you’re new to vegan jerky or just want some tips, I found this super helpful blog: All About Vegan Jerky: Tips for First-Time Buyers. It covers everything from choosing the best jerky to understanding what makes it such a powerhouse snack. Seriously, it’s a must-read!

And for anyone who loves a good podcast, I highly recommend this one: Y’all’s Vegan Podcast. It dives into all things plant-based, including fun conversations about vegan snacks like jerky. Perfect for listening while you snack!

So, what’s your go-to vegan snack? Have you tried vegan jerky before? Let’s chat and share tips—it’s always great to learn from each other. 😊

The vegan jerky I tried wasn't very good at all. If I'm feeling peckish I would rather have a banana or a flapjack. When I was in the UK I ate pies and pasties and the last time I visited I discovered Greggs sausage rolls which were delicious but here in Sweden, you really have to eat before you go out if you want a savoury snack.

Hey Brian!

I totally get where you’re coming from—not all vegan jerky hits the mark, and everyone has their snack preferences. Banana and flapjack? Classic choices, and honestly, hard to beat for simplicity and taste!

That said, vegan jerky has come a long way, and there are so many different flavors and textures out there now. If you ever feel like giving it another shot, I’d recommend checking out some of the tips here: All About Vegan Jerky: Tips for First-Time Buyers. It might help you find one that suits your taste buds better!

Also, wow—Greggs sausage rolls are a UK treasure! It’s true, finding savory snacks on the go can be tricky in certain places. Maybe vegan jerky could become one of those portable, savory go-tos with the right flavor. 😉 Would love to hear if you ever find a vegan snack in Sweden that rivals Greggs—share your discoveries! 🌟

I love making jerky with Butler Soy curls, and just got a 3 lb bag with that in mind! I've had delicious mushroom jerky from and Asian store, that was so good I even liked the five-spice flavor, which I usually dislike. Haven't seen that since
Is this your site? It says 'from mushrooms, seitan or soy' but I don't see ingredients. Prickly pear?

Agree. I'm not a fan or Jerky either; too salty and no fibre.

There is nothing that compares to a warm Greggs vegan sausage roll when you are peckish. Moreover, in certain towns, you are never very far from a Greggs! There is even one at Gatwick's South terminal.

You reminded me, when we came to England last, we were waiting to change buses in London somewhere and there was a shop that sold enormous samosas. It had been years since I had a samosa so I bought four and we had two each.

The UK is great for food. There are food outlets/cafés/supermarket locals everywhere.

A person who I know was visiting London with me and she was gobsmacked by the number of eateries/locals etc. She said, that if she lived in the UK, she'd be huge! :grinning:

The two things I miss most from the UK are the countryside and the food.
