Music What are you listening to now?

Someone likes Voltaire, I see. 'God Thinks' is a favorite of mine and my old roommates. We used to sing it in public to see the looks we'd get.

I'm currently listening to:

Sarah Savoy and the Francadians - Allons Rock'n'Roll

I love Cajun music.
You ever listen to Mama Rosin? There a French band that plays an amalgamation of blues and Cajun. You might like it.

Yep! I love them! I saw them live the night before last at a tiny venue in Oxford. :)

And now listening to Julia Holter - Ekstasis (album)

Cool. I am slowly acquiring their discography. It's good music to work to.
Currently listening to Anathema - Weather Systems

Luminol -- Steven Wilson. My deluxe album finally came in the mail. Happy, happy, happy. :starshower: The book it came with is stunning. Full of "other stories" as the album title suggests, artwork, and other tidbits I will discover as I pore over it. This sort of reminds me of my youth when I would listen to Yes and daydream while staring at the artwork on the album covers.

I didn't get the version you did, but I did buy one of the cheaper deluxe editions. I really like it. Wilson has definitely been listening to his King Crimson and Yes albums.

For real. There is one passage in Luminol that sounds so much like the Yes harmonies of old. I was like, COOL! This is my first listen and so far I'm loving it. This is going to sound gorgeous live. I already got Luminol on the last tour. I'm hoping they do the album in full, as PTree did with The Incident. Are you going to catch Mr. Wilson on his solo tour this spring?

He's sold out around here. I didn't have the money when the tickets went on sale. I'll catch him when he comes around again, though.

Bummer, but yeah, I'm sure he will be back. :)
