Unfortunately I have seen that happen, specifically where a new member who happened to be Muslim was being constantly asked to "defend" Islam. I can't imagine putting up with that for very long.

I keep wondering if my stepmother or half sister were members of this forum would people try to be more respectful.

Do they have a version that doesn't focus on the raising of an army and forced conversion of of Mecca? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but tolerant doesn't come to mind.
