32 °C - Heatwave for the UK

I'm happinest with anything below 20c. I am cold-lover.

One of my pet hates though is when people moan about the weather regardless of what the weather is like. Firstly because talking about the weather is pretty dull, and secondly because moaning about things you can't change and happen every year is pointless, and thirdly because if you're going to have a moan (and sure, everyone likes to moan sometimes!) PICK A SIDE. :D

Reactions: Second Summer
Tampa, Florida has never reached 100 degrees, fun fact. The humidity is a million percent, though, and the nights do not cool down. The rest of the year is riduculously nice, though.

It's super humid here in the summer, too. Counterintuitive, considering location and lack of summer rainfall, but there it is.
Average in my part of the state is 83% in July.

Guam was cooler and less humid.

Haha yeah. I dont need to look at a weather forecast I can just go on Facebook to see what people are whinging about.

To me, as long as you're prepared any weather is OK. I have no sympathy for those who whinge it is too hot when they're in ridiculous clothing (even if you want to hide your legs for some reasons, there are other options that are not skinny jeans! likewise if you dont like sandals - there are options that aren't boots)

I totally get that. I've seen women walk around wearing next to nothing and complaining about how cold they are. Well, if you're cold, put some damn clothes on!

You won't hear me complain about heat and humidity ever. I will complain about dogs being left out in it, as they can't handle it as well as humans and can't get to shade if they are kenneled or tied. But I won't complain about it myself. I save that for winter, when I whine all season long.

I had to put the quilt in our wardrobe last night and just use a sheet instead.

A woman on the news was saying that she fills up a hot water bottle with cold water, puts it in the freezer and then puts it in her bed overnight. I'm not sure if that would work.

I would love 89 degrees. It has only fallen below 100 twice in the past month, and for a while it was at 110. Can't wait for fall, my favorite season. :)

Latest observations show provisionally that the new highest temperature of the year so far has been recorded at Heathrow and Exeter Airport today , 13 July, reaching 30.0 C

Well that's ********.

It was 36 degrees at work today. But we are in the arse-end of nowhere so we don't count for official records or any of that.

I work in a kennels. Walking the dogs was not fun. (They only had short walks as it was too hot for them to have longer ones. )
