Anti Baby boomer hate

I am not sure what "social housing" would be in the US. There is very very little low income housing here and years long waiting lists and strict qualifications. This is why there is such a bad homeless problem. :(

Could you not see a social worker and see what your options are? You never know.

The last time I tried to apply for food stamps which you do online then have to have a phone interview, I was never able to get connected for the phone interview. The system is broken all the time and I also make too much money right now anyway. You have to be really poor to qualify.

It's ridiculous how poor you have to be to get help here. 😞
I mean I get it...to an extent. It's unrealistic for the most part.

Interestingly enough, I see most negative remarks about boomers from gen x on facebook. They seem very angry that the boomers ruined everything for them. 😞
Yeah, wow. Maybe that's country specific, not sure?

The social media stuff seems to come from younger people (well, what you see e. g. on Reddit). Gen X are usually neither the bashed nor the bashers.

My kids were born in 1975, 1977 and 1981. They don't get involved at all in the generational wars.
When reading this numbers I have to think of former colleagues of mine who're born in 1975 and in 1980 and myself in 1977 - we usually don't engage in that stuff as well.

Well, of course we have our opinions on Boomers, Zoomers and our own generation but there doesn't seem to be these generalizations and especially not that vitriol. The common conclusion is usually that every generation has both its gems and its jerks.

most definitely!

To me (Gen x), « Boomer » has not so much to do with the age, but rather with the values and behaviour of a person.
I know very cool people from the « Boomer » age group, and also much younger people that totally fit nearly all of the negative stereotypes.

In my definitely not humble opinion, anyone who at some point in their lives opened their eyes (and hearts) to the exploitation of nonhuman animals, and taken the necessary consequences, will hardly match the stereotype.
