Celebrities associated with vegetarianism & veganism

I swear the Daily mail invent celebrities sometimes.

Looking at her, I have an observation. Fairly sure that's a Chanel bag in the photos of Ariana Grande (DM must pay their fake celebs well) becuase of the 2 Cs on the clasp. Which is surely leather? SAme with the shoes they've linked to her wearing. Whilst I dont have a problem with us regular vegans using old leather products until they expire/get replaced, it seems wrong for a celeb to do it. they can afford to replace it, and also are a walking advert for the product. Not to mention omnis are bound to focus on it. Any thoughts??

Yes, if you're a celebrity (a well-off one) then I think you have a special responsibility. With great power comes great responsibility etc. That said, the behaviour of celebrities in general don't seem particularly responsible.

I was just reading this headline which claims Ozzy Osbourne is now a "strict vegan", but I don't see much in the article that backs up this claim:
Ozzy Osbourne, who has already given up drinking and drugs, has now become a strict vegetarian, it has been revealed.

Strict vegan, strict vegetarian, same thing?! It says he's currently on a "baked vegetable diet", whatever that is.

The 53-year-old musician said that he did not have meat on a Friday or pizza every Wednesday.

I've been trying to work out what this sentence means...

i really believe some celebs like Ozzy goes into phases, there are some articles that dates back to 2011 saying he watched Fork over knives video and got shook up and wanted to change, then i seen an article that he embraced the atkins diet with Sharon, Sharon is spokes person for the adkins diet.

Unfortunately I think most celebrities embrace a veg*an diet (or something on the vegetarian spectrum, such as macrobiotic or raw) more as a fad, in order to keep them looking attractive and healthy and to lose weight, than as a permanent lifestyle commitment. There are exceptions, of course, but the celebs who proudly announce how much healthier they look and feel on a veg*an diet and then next thing you know they're talking about the burger and fries they just had to have are, in my view, too numerous to count.

LOL about Ozzy maybe he is Vegan sometimes and other times he isn't its too hard to tell , maybe he goes on phases like I said above.

I just read that Ariana Grande is a vegan, she is a singer?! I've never heard of her but then I'm not down with the kids.:D

Ariana Grande is a former Nickelodeon (a kids network here, like Disney) pop princess, with a reputation for being a diva with some very particular habits. Is Ariana Grande Actually a Baby?: An Investigation

Also she sings some pretty manufactured top pop diddies.

It's Ms. Erykah Badu's birthday today:

I always cringe when celebs do this - but one cannot downplay what positive effect this may have on her fans. At the very least it raises awareness.

There's very little in the mainsteam music business these days that isn't in some way 'manufactured.' There is no denying Ariana has amazing pipes whether you like her or not.

Sara Gilbert, who is on The Talk, is supposed to be vegan. It comes up often on the show. Last week there a segment where they were talking about the video about the rat dragging the slice of pizza down a flight of stairs...the subject turned to how good NY pizza is. So they had a cold slice of pizza and they passed it around the table, making different jokes, but saying how good it was, even old and cold. When it got to Sara, I was expecting her to make some kind of remark about not wanting to eat it, but instead, she sat there and bit into it without hesitation. It really bothered me...I was, like, oh man, not her too! :( I get that she is on TV and, perhaps, didn't want to make a big deal and just go along, but I can't believe how easy it seemed for her to just bite into the pizza. I was very disappointed.
