This must be the fabled Polar Bear Club! Better humans than me! They do it here in Pittsburgh, too. I'm headed out for my first of three walks today--26 degrees right now, and still dark. Silent and lovely out. Just me, with the owls calling... Silent Night... : )

Only in Brighton! Squeaks has decided to be the Christmas angel.
Today I started my two week vacation and it has been lovely and relaxing. I have to pack later because we are traveling up north tomorrow. For a change, I don't think they have had a lot of snow, sadly, but maybe by the time Christmas comes - who knows? In case I forget because I am too busy playing with children, have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year everybody!

I'm going to be doing lots of cooking/baking/prepping today for our Christmas dinner and post-Christmas family gathering. I'm making a vegan roast, cranberry bread, soy curls taco filling, a cheez spread (fingers crossed that this is good, lol), hummus and dough for sugar cookies (I'll make these tomorrow). I have apple pie and a veggie tray to prepare, but I won't do that until Friday night, as our gathering is Saturday.
I'm going to be doing lots of cooking/baking/prepping today for our Christmas dinner and post-Christmas family gathering. I have to find a gift for Haley's bf, Jeremy. I didn't get him anything last year, but he has been to all the family gatherings and it feels like I should. He is a Star Wars fan and Haley said she got him SW stuff. Sadly TJ Maxx had nothing. I am going downtown this afternoon to the car show and will stop by Cliff's Books and see if he has any SW memorabilia.

How lovely. It would seem that we'd have to go to Sweden to have a white Christmas-only wind here.
@Brian W, wow, beautiful! I love your tree! We still have a little of our snow left, but I think it's supposed to warm up a bit in the next couple of days, so it might not be a white Christmas here, either. We'll see. I just looked at the forecast for my area, and it's supposed to get only up to the 32 or so.
@KLS52 Have you seen this? It's a map that points out towns and places in CT where Christmas movies have been filmed or used as a backdrop. There are a bunch of Hallmark movies in there, a couple of which I knew had CT bits and pieces. I think a tour is in order!

We still have some snow in PIttsburgh--may hang around for Christmas! Only 40 today, with some sun, but still cold, and the sun doesn't hang around long. Walking is a chore, as it melts and refreezes snow into ice--jeez! Took two unserious tumbles so far! : )

I have been working out inside because I'm such a klutz that I likely would fall on the ice, too. I'm glad your falls weren't serious!PTree15, I cheer you on for working out at all! Especially this time of year--too easy to watch Christmas movies all day! I like to toture myself in the cold, then really appreciate what heat I have in the house--crazy! LOL, I don't mind the cold if it's not too windy and I'm properly bundled up, but I don't like slipping on the ice.
I always find it on the sidewalks even when I'm trying to avoid it, lol. It's nice to see the neighbors and the kids and all, though. At least I know what I want to get, so I won't be lingering too long in the shops. Maybe I'll put some familiar Christmas movies on so I can hear it in the kitchen.

I often have it on in the background when I'm busy. It adds to the festive feeling. I also watch on my iPad a lot so I put in a wireless earbud and that way I get to listen as I'm moving about. Since most of what I watch are repeats anyway, that I've seen multiple times, it doesn't matter that I can't see what's going on because I know just by the dialogue lol. I really enjoy watching movies with an earbud.LOL, I don't mind the cold if it's not too windy and I'm properly bundled up, but I don't like slipping on the ice.
