Dogs Left in Cars !!!

I am happy to say that I have not seen a dog locked in a car on a hot day for a long time over here.

Used to happen a lot.

I like to think this is because the big media push to educate people on that one was a significant success.

I live in a sunny place where nothing would last long in a closed car, but I have seen dogs in parking lot cars with the windows partly opened. This is dangerous and stupid in our climate, plus the dogs bark their heads off when anyone walks by because the poor things are trapped in the car.

Same thing overhere !

They have been warning about leaving animals and children in hot cars every single time the news is on. It's annoying me because this should just be common sense. There shouldn't be warnings and there shouldn't be horror stories about animals and kids stuck in cars. People are idiots.

First offense, get a fine on the rank of a traffic ticket, and have to sit through community service seminars warning about the dangers (because some people are just dumb and not malevolent).

Second offense, have the dog confiscated and rehomed.

Third offense, assuming the person was dumb enough to get another dog, person is arrested and potentially jailed, facing animal abuse charges.

No, cause what if the animal dies the first time?:(

If the animal is harmed in any way the person will be immediately arrested and be punished as with any case of animal abuse.

Actually, maybe we should just do that right away.

Or send them to a work camp.
