This is coming from a male. In high school, I had no problems with females, but some males gave me problems. Same thing in college. I've been posting on message boards for probably over 10 years. Again males have given me a lot more problems than females have. Going by my personal experience, females are nicer than males. It's not even close. Do you think there's a big difference? What has been your experiences regarding this subject?

Interesting - I think I might disagree.

As a whole, I would too. Personally I think "niceness" is evenly distributed amongst the sexes. That being said certain individuals might be targeted (for whatever reason) by members of the same sex for bullying/intimidation.

Men have often been nicer than women.

At least they have a greater tendency to not say it behind your back.

I'd like to see a real scientific study done on this. I have no idea what the results would be. I've encountered nice women and nasty men, but I've also encountered nice men and some REALLY nasty women. I don't think you can come to a conclusion based on such informal anecdotes. You could have a random encounter with a nasty person and they're actually a very nice person but just having a really bad day.

I get on with women better than I do with men but maybe this is because I went to an all girl school when I was a teen. I would trust a stranger more if she was female and I'm definitely more wary around men. The two people I get on with the most in my life are male however.

So you think we would have the same problems in the world(or worse) if females had most of the influence in the world today as males do right now? I certainly don't. This is the problem with Democracy. If females had the influence I think it would be capable of a lot of good, but with males dominating it's just another imperfect form of government.

I'll look at celebrities too. The males generally act up far, far more often than the females do.

I find it hard to say much either way. "Nice" is a difficult quantity to measure. In general, maybe women tend to be more "PC" and reserved in more public situations, whereas men can be more "mavericks" both publicly and in private. So therefore with men you tend to see a greater range of behaviour, including more of the extremes on the nice-evil spectrum.

I'm not sure about that m8, women are not immune to neither vices nor sins.

No, I absolutely don't think the world today would be the same had women had more influence throughout history. But I also don't think that women are necessarily nicer than men.

I think men are nicer than women because they talk about interesting things like their high powered careers, world politics, and cars whereas women have only curtains, recipes and handbags to talk about.

Even though I think men are nicer than women, women are just as intelligent and interesting as men imo, if not more so.

I suspect that, at least in the US, women are more socially aggressive, men are more physical aggressive.
