Females nicer than males

I guess the majority of the deaths of women at the hands of their significant others are falsified, or women are really good at disposing of the bodies of their men that they have killed, without anyone noticing the disappearances. That would explain why statistics show that so many more women are killed by their menfolk than men are killed by their womenfolk in this world where domestic violence by women is equal to domestic violence committed by men.

I think that when someone engages in domestic abuse, either physical or emotional, they are more likely to lie and engage in other forms of deceit in order to maintain control.

And I think that gender doesn't matter when it comes to an abuser lying.

As for gender and the aggressor, let me quote Wikipedia as a relatively unbiased source (or at least a source where various editors with bias have picked over an article and challenged sources until a more neutral viewpoint has emerged):

I guess no gender is nicer.

Again, when it comes to domestic violence that results in serious injury or death, males are the perpetrators most of the time.

In my experience (neutered) male cats are 'nicer' and more affectionate than female cats. I love my female cats too obviously but they don't seem to want as much attention from me.

 We should really inform the police of this conspiracy.

Men seem to be more willing to commit acts that results in serious injury or death.

Maybe part of it is due to women, on average, being weaker. But there may be a cultural aspect to it as well - look at suicides - men are far more effective than women at killing themselves.

Domestic violence involves more than just murder and serious bodily injury. Also, if you see above your quoted comment, I've pointed out that men seem to be far more prone to being able to kill then women.

I think it depends on the cat. I have noticed that cats who are shyer or more sensitive are sometimes very "get away from me", whereas cats who are more hardy or less shy tend to be friendlier. And I guess cats are like humans in the way that there are introvert cats and extrovert cats. Extrovert cats tend to be more sociable and expressive. Some of them can be very vocal, or do things to get a human's attention. Introvert cats like their solitude, and enjoy home comforts, and socialise on their terms only.

This has been my experience with cats I've had yet I have friends with female cats that are very affectionate, needy. The kittens are male and female and I'm curious to see how their personalities develop. So far they are both pretty affectionate and cuddly. I'm hoping the female, who happens to be a tortie, doesn't turn on me as she gets older the way my calico did.

My experience is that neutered male cats tend to be easy going and generally affectionate. Female cats tend to be more intense in their affections, and much more likely to focus their affections on one particular person.

Another thing I have noticed, is the friendliness of black cats and ginger cats. Ginger cats seem to be very friendly and cuddly, whereas black cat's friendliness has a curious bent to it. I have noticed also that white cats tend to be shyer.

I met a super friendly calico a few weeks back so friendly calicos exist.

I call "reverse" cat racism on this. What, so you think cats with mundane coloration are somehow undeserving? For having ancestry they can't control?

Shameful. This is what America is becoming.

People, pay attention. This is what feminism looks like.

I use to have a black cat that was very friendly. But it was weird because she wouldn't normally ask for your attention or jump in your lap or anything like that.If you picked her up and started to pet her she loved it and didn't wanna leave.

It was almost like forcing her to like it but once she got there she was all happy and cool with it.

I think, for the most part, it definitely depends on the cat. Just making comments on observations of the cats that have shared my home with me. Two of the best cats I've ever had... Thor was a tan/ginger/white mix...Bogart was an orange maine coon mix. I will always be partial to orange/ginger cats. None of the four I have now are orange/ginger and I love them to bits.

Maybe you should ask Gypsy. She wrote the post, wanting to express how friendly black cats are.

Gypsy likes to be independent, but is also likely to climb on someone's lap too.
She really likes using her paws, she often randomly jabs me with her paw. She also uses them to open these folding doors. She tried to open the pantry earlier but she couldnt quite reach the doorknobs. Once she did manage to grab one and open it, which was pretty awesome.
