TV & Film Movie Lounge

We started to watch that Trick'r Treat movie I mentioned in the Halloween thread, but it was too violent for us. Well, there were children involved. And the first thing that happened was they killed this pretty woman! The movie was supposed to contain "sexualised nudity", which some of us were looking forward to, but that sort of killed it for me. I mean us. Disappointing :(

I don't watch any violent films, either. And it's always the pretty young woman who gets killed in those types of things. :/

I absolutely hate that. To be fair, we fast forwaded a bit to a part where some pretty young women dressed up as fairy tale princesses, lured random men to a supposed "Halloween party", wink-wink, then turned into werewolves, and ate them up.

The Taking of Deborah Logan. It wasn't too bad, I gave it three out of five stars on Netflix. The first half of it was nice and creepy.

Hallmark's Nine Lives of Christmas...only ten minutes in and I can tell its going to be great!!

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, the 1971 version with Gene Wilder.

Apparently I had never really watched this film before as there were many parts I don't remember seeing.

Two movies that I've seen lately that kicked my *** were Blue Ruin and Nightcrawler. They'll be ones that stick by me for life - Blue Ruin, especially, being the best movie I've seen in the last 7 years.

I watched one half of Annabelle and it was awful! I had to watch The Conjuring (for the ninth time) to wash my mind out.

I started to watch a horror film from the 80's called Sleepaway Camp and there was a male character who made what I think was a bizarre comment about molesting children so I stopped watching that. FFS.

Hallmark, Hallmark, Hallmark. Just watched Angels and Ornaments.

I watched The Book Thief yesterday. It was okay. It's not a movie I'd want to watch multiple times. Geoffrey Rush is in it, and the movie is worth watching mainly for him.

Yeah, it was one of the cheesier ones, but I liked it. I haven't seen The Christmas Switch yet.

Come Back To Me. I can't decide if I liked it because it was different and original, or disliked it because it was a little too far out there.

Watching Absentia now. The acting is awful, but I'm hoping the storyline makes up for it.
