TV & Film Movie Lounge

The One I Love. It's advertised as a romantic comedy, which it isn't. Not sure what it would be considered, but it was good.

I found Godzilla so scary! & quite liked it. But think Jurassic World looks terrible - storyline makes no sense & seems ridiculous.

Oh really ha, I didn't find it frightening but I couldn't wait to see Godzilla on the screen and the monsters were definitely the best part of the film. I remember watching the old style Japanese films when I was younger and I was terrified.:D I hope Jurassic World is good.:(

Only loves left alive. A very odd, almost artsy vampire movie. I quite enjoyed it. Tilda swinton and Tom Hiddleston are the main actors. They are nude for a brief moment.

Edge of Tomorrow, good movie.
Kind of Groundhog Day meets Starship Troopers.
Tom Cruise is in it (which is normally - to me - more a reason against watching a movie), but he gives a great performance IMO. Did not think he was still able to deliver performances at Mission Impossible 1&2 standards...

Best regards,
Andy

I just watched The Grand Budapest Hotel on Video on Demand. It’s a big hit with critics, but I think it’s…strange. And I must say, there’s an alarmingly high body count for something billed as a comedy, but it WAS written and directed by Wes Anderson, so maybe this is his style.

If you plan to see it, you are hereby forewarned.

Watching The Good Lie...I think I'm going to love it.

ETA: I did love it. I cried real tears, gasped for joy, and cried again. [emoji173]

Automata - Not bad for a sci-fi dystopian movie.

Daddy and Them - I tried to make it all the way through, but had to shut it off after about 45 minutes. I just couldn't take an hour and a half of the same people having the same exactly argument over and over and over and over....That's basically all the movie was.

Now watching Undertaking Betty - Not too bad so far. Christopher Walken is in it so it's bound to be good.

On Borrowed Time...forgot how much I like that movie. Good old Mr. Brink.
