Nudity more accepted before Christianity

Your posts read like you are trying very hard to be angry about something.
My family has anger problems, but I don't. There's too much suffering in the world for me to consider myself happy, but I know life could be much worse so I see no reason to be angry. It's impossible to tell a person's emotions based off of a few posts on a message board.

If it's 100 degrees outside why would a person be better off with clothing? Did they constantly wear clothing before Islam came along? If not, it's probably religious reasons. It may be the sunscreen that causes cancer rather than the sun, so I don't see why they'd need protection from the sun. Pagans are a religious group, so I didn't think there's more than one definition.
Sand. Clothing protects from boiling hot sand in the wind. And sitting on sand naked, well...

Someone has replied to this:

No, clothes make more sense. More protection from the sun, ventilation provided by fabrics like cotton help keep you cool. May also be why the old testament warns against mixed fabric clothing. As someone who has spent time in the middle east, loose, baggy, cotton clothing is your best bet.

If you google this, you'll find other advantages of wearing clothes in hot, dry climates. For example, clothes can hold a layer of air next to your skin - good if the air temperature is less than the temperature by your skin. And speaking of which, it reduces the amount you'll need to sweat, which conserves water - another plus in an arid climate.

Fascinating. Every sentence and every question is based on false assumptions and/or wild speculation. That's quite an achievement.

You've now moved from blaming it all on Christianity to blaming it all on Christianity and Islam. Are you adding Judaism in too, and Hinduism as well?

Human history is hundreds of thousands of years old. Prior to Christianity, when did any human societies have a strong hatred of the human body the way we do today? If it didn't happen, it's probably the religion.

do you have a strong hatred of the human body?

Well it would be nice to know what you believe that one definition is because I am struggling with some of your posts in here because I'm unsure as to what you mean by pagan. Seriously, "pagan history"? What is that?

You make an unsubstantiated claim that Egyptians, Greeks and some "Indian Tribes" were tolerant of nudity and later peoples weren't because of modern religion. Then you insert your brother's command of "Pagan history" (completely unrelated to earlier discussion), project your religion assertions on someone else then ultimately dump it all on Christianity? You're spouting uninformed nonsense and it is all very clear that you are looking to blame this fantastic trend toward puritanism on religion and Christianity, and that you're fishing for someone to make your point for you. Do your homework and come back with something meaningful.

Silly, people are either Christians, or they are pagans. And all pagans, being non-Christian, are alike in exactly the same way!

Oh my god. So they could be anyone! :woo:
