Dr.McDougall died 6-25-24 😢
We owe him so much

This is so sad for me as he is the person that helped me to change for the final time and stay vegan. So happy that he went quietly in his sleep. He was the same age as my brother who is the one scheduled for a triple bypass tomorrow.

RIP Dr McDougall, your legacy will live on!!

Just saw this:

.
Back in the early 1980s, listening to Dr. Ruth changed my life as a young teen. As a 14 or 15 year old boy, I used to secretly listen to Dr. Ruth every night, on my AM radio. I listened to 100s of callers, and it became clear that the callers all had pretty much the same set of concerns. And, notably, the gay and lesbian callers had almost the exact same concerns as the straight callers. And, Dr. Ruth's kindness and advice was similar for the straights, gays, and lesbians. This had a deep effect on me, and I quickly became an ally.

:( I loved him in so many things. He will be missed. I think I will have to do a movie marathon in his honor. My favorite role of his was in Field of Dreams as the reclusive writer Terrence Mann. And, of course, the voice of Darth Vader. And he did so much before those movies, on stage and screen.
