McDonald’s Scoop trial

However, for those hoping to get their hands on the new vegan Scoop desserts – there is a catch. Currently, McDonald’s is trialling the vegan ice creams at a select number of restaurants before deciding whether to roll them out nationwide.

Available in select stores now, diners can try the frozen plant-based dessert at 52 restaurants across the North West of England where they will be on offer between June 12 and September 3.

According to McDonald’s, if the trial goes well, it will likely launch the product nationwide in 2025.

Kindly has announced the launch of a second store in Brighton, marking the start of what it calls a “new era for sustainable shopping”

Vegan grocer Kindly is expanding its sustainable shopping options across Brighton by opening a second location in the city, with five new Kindly stores planned over the next five years.

So far, Kindly’s expansion plans are centred around the Brighton and Hove area, but it’s possible the growth will continue further afield in the future.

Founded in 2019 by Shiv Misra, Kindly specialises in cruelty-free products with low environmental impact.

Its Brighton flagship already offers a range of locally sourced vegan, Fairtrade, and organic goods.

The new store aims to continue this approach, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to a more ethical food system.

....and guess who went to the opening?!
