TV & Film Stuff in movies and on TV that bothers you

The manage to speak proper German in a CSI episode! :D It was easily understandable without reading the text!

It does seem to help when they get actors who are familiar with the language they're supposed to speak on screen. For example, in the movie Blast From The Past, Brendan Frasier speaks French, but he didn't have to learn it; because of his upbringing, he's actually fluent in French.

You gotta take the little victories wherever you can get 'em, right? :p

Of cause! :D It's really fun when they struggle to get it right, even though it's just for a few lines. Her accent is good too I think (a lot of Norwegians talk English with a horrible accent. :P ). Someone have done their homework as an actress. :P

When actors in a film really dont fit in/are miscast. I'm half watching a film "The Eagle" and Channing Tatum reaaallly doesnt suit being a Roman. Then again, I do think he looks like a potato so may be biased.

I think Channing Tatum is pretty good in comedic roles. I liked him in 21 Jumpstreet and She's the Man. He does a good job at playing an air head.

A couple going through a break up always bring a box of stuff round to the house of the ex just as they have a new date round.

People talk in a very unrealistic way and they always refer to expressions like "opposites attract" or use quotations from writers or Latin phrases that people wouldn't use in everyday conversation.

When they do a flashback to the past people have the same hairstyle as when they were children.

^^^ When I read your posts I thought I hadn't heard of Channing Tatum and since then I've seen his name everywhere! The Eagle is on Film 4 tonight but it doesn't sound like my type of film.

Manipulation. When the bad character(s) manipulates circumstances so that the good character(s) have the wrong information, therefore, making wrong decisions/choices.

"He says the monster killed a kid!"

Hmmm...interesting. Could you give an example?
Just realized I never responded to this.

The most obvious thing I can think of is related to TV/soap operas. When a character is involved with to guys, becomes pregnant, has a paternity test, someone switches the results to make it look like it's guy #1's baby when it's really guy #2. So the character picks guy #1 because she has feelings for both guys (but loves guy #2 a little more) and decides to make a life with the baby's father (or so she thinks). After a while the truth comes out and then there's all this drama. She eventually gets together with guy #2 but it annoys the heck out of me.

This just happened on B&B...Liam and Hope belong together but have been manipulated for years (at this point, they are stupid and don't belong together, IMO). Liam is trying to get to Hope before she goes away with Wyatt. Wyatt's mother traps Liam in the elevator so that Hope and Wyatt already leave and he doesn't get to see her before she goes. Manipulation. I hate it. lol

It happens in some movies, too. But that's what I mean about manipulation. Someday someone is going to write a plot where the characters don't fall for the ridiculousness. It's going to be refreshing.

People in films and TV always go to their high school reunion :iiam: even though they are worried about how their lives will measure up to the lives of their old classmates.:D

Quinn is very sneaky.:dismay:

ETA - I think Liam's character is meant to be a vegetarian, I'm not sure though.
