I have been researching it for years.
Me too, for the record. I am
very well-versed in conspiracy theories. I find it fun and sometimes really good material to hop off from in fiction writing.
The current spinning globe model is has only been accepted for about 500 years.
The first (fairly accurate) measurement of the circumference of the Earth was in
~150 BC by Eratosthenes. He was under no impression that it wasn't a sphere.
I think it's highly likely the people in the past actually right about the Earth. Scientists decided Earth was round and spinning way before they had any way of proving it to be true.
The historically scientific perspective has pretty much always been that the Earth is a sphere. Heliocentricity versus geocentricity was the big debate.
It wasn't until about 100 years ago that we developed flight. Regular airplane flights do not go high enough to determine if it is flat or round. Only NASA claims to have technology with that ability, but has NASA been lying to us?
Ask yourself what the purpose of them lying could be. Even at the most cynical extreme - that they are trying to control us with false information - what would the purpose of withholding this specific information be? What about a round Earth would make us easier to control than a flat Earth?
Well, almost everything they have given us has turned out to be fake, including pictures of the Earth.
When? Do you have
any sources? (Cleetus typing long, rambling, misspelled essays in the "Miscellaneous" section of the UFO Casebook forum does not count.)
They admit most of the pictures they give us are stitched together images or computer interpretations of data.
Do you not know how imaging science works? Have you ever taken a panorama picture with your phone? By this argument the panorama picture I took of an interesting rock formation last week is fake. Google Street View is fake.
Consider that if something is too big to be photographed from a certain distance with a regular camera,
you have to take more than one picture, and then put those pictures side by side to form a complete image. Just because you don't understand how cameras and image editing software work doesn't mean they're fake.
- Flight paths make a lot more sense on a flat earth map.
They make more sense to you. Planes are affected by gravity, as is everything. They cling to the curvature of the Earth and don't fall off the same way that hitting a baseball really high doesn't cause it to go in a straight line into space.
- No current maps accurately represent the earth, whether it's flat or curved.
Literally
going as far in depth as Wikipedia should explain to you pretty adequately why mapping a sphere onto a flat surface is so difficult. Try peeling an orange sometime and flattening it out into a rectangle or even an oval. Maps are naturally quirky because readability is better than
this.
- Flight times going with the spin of the earth are nearly identical to going against the spin of the earth.
You still don't seem to get how gravity works. Everything clings to the surface of the planet unless it can escape. This includes air, and planes, and anything else above the ground. If you hold a balloon in the air on a day without wind it doesn't bend toward the direction the globe is spinning in. If you jump vertically off the ground you don't go flying halfway across the Earth. This is because of how gravity works.
- The earth spins faster than the speed of sound. How can you hear sounds coming from directions going with the spin of the earth?
Again. Sound is just a vibration of particles. The particles are not flapping along with the speed of the Earth's rotation so the sounds that pass through them aren't affected by rotation.
- The spin of the earth is 1000 mph at the equator. Centrifugal force should make objects lighter at the equator versus the north pole, where the speed of spin is much slower. As far as I know, all objects weigh the same no matter where they are located on earth.

- Centrifugal force should make the oceans waters swell up around the equator, but that doesn't happen in reality.
Gravity mitigates this, but the forces acting on our planet do in fact have an effect on the oceans. Read about the tide sometime, it's interesting.
- If we are spinning at 1000 mph, how can we have a day when there is no breeze?
Air is affected by gravity.
- If we are spinning at 1000 mph, are the clouds always moving about 1001 to 1050 mph, nothing more or nothing less?
Clouds are affected by gravity.
- No visible curvature can be measured at any altitude when fish eye lens is not used.
Curvature is evident in the fact that everything disappears below the horizon after a certain point. There are plenty of pictures demonstrating the curvature of the Earth but you'd just say those were faked. Look at a ship coming over the horizon sometime.
- All over the earth, you can see buildings and lighthouses for hundreds of miles further than you should be able see them. They should be hidden under hundreds or thousands of feet of curvature.
How far should we be able to see them? The Earth is pretty huge.
- On a round earth, when you ascend above it, the horizon should drop since it curves downward. It does not. If the earth is a huge flat plane, then horizon would stay at eye level. This is what happens in every video of a camera ascending.
What do you mean by "stay at eye level"?
- NASA did not have the technology to go to the moon.
Gonna need specifics on that one, because they did, using math and throwing a thing really hard at the moon with explosions. But okay.
- The first moon landing was filmed from a distance. Did they send a crew ahead of them to capture it?
Show me where that distance filming exists. Anywhere on the internet. There are a lot of simulated animations out there but no actual footage of the lunar lander coming down that isn't from the lander itself.
- All NASA videos pictures are all CGI or photoshopped.
Again, gonna need specifics, ones that aren't just "I don't understand how photography works so this is fake."
- The moon landing disturbed no dirt when it landed even though it used jet fuel to slow down for the landing.
You mean the fact that it didn't create a cloud of dust because there's no real atmosphere on the moon to carry the dust particles?
- Rockets shouldn't work in space. On earth, they move using rocket fuel pushing off the air. In space, there is no air to push off.
Exactly, momentum from the launch is conserved. If you push something in space it'll keep going forever unless it hits something else. Propulsion in space exists by basically pushing something out of the ship. Equal and opposite reaction. Takes a lot of momentum, which is why we rely on gravitational assists so much.
- NASA has been caught in remote locations that resemble their pictures of Mars.
- NASA photos of Mars have shown rodents.
Both of these are part of the same school of Mars denial/Mars "archeology" which relies solely on pareidolia and misinterpretation of scientific missions. Not all of NASA's activities take place in space.
- Many ISS space station videos show air bubbles coming from the astronaut's suits.
Where? If you make absurd claims like this you have to provide evidence for them.
- Satellites cannot exist in the thermosphere, which is 932 to 3632 degrees Fahrenheit. The electronics inside would melt.
That's a very real fear, and part of the reason why satellites are so expensive.

- GPS could have been implemented in the 60s or 70s if satellites were real, but it came about right round the time when cell phone towers were put in place. Coincidence? Triangulation technology that cell phone towers possess can produce the same results as GPS.
No, you can't just believe in
some of the laws of physics. Triangulation relies on careful calculation by the same systems and pioneered by the same people you're claiming are bogus. Why don't we just have sticks? Is it the lizardmen?
- ISS astronauts have been caught using wires to appear to be floating.

- Gyroscopes powered to for hours and days do not move the slightest bit. If we were spinning, it's apparent position would change.
Huh, it's almost like we have a similar device specifically made so it shows the effects of this.
- Parallax should show relative star positions change, but they are fixed compared to each other.
If only there were an entire school of science based on tracking changes like that and learning a ton of new **** about the universe as a result.
- You should see a whole different set of stars in the summer versus the winter, but you see the same star year round.
You what now? What do you think astrology is? This is easy ****, come on. Go outside and look up in Summer and in Winter. Take a photo each time and compare them. Make sure it's not a composite photo, though, because those are fake.
- You never feel any movement yet scientists say we are spinning at 1000 mph, revolving around the sun at 67,000 mph and hurdling through space at 515,000 mph.
Gravity holds us down.
- Centuries old sun dials are still accurate today, but if we were hurdling through space as we were told, they would not still be as accurate.
I mean, we're still pretty much right where we were back then in comparison to the Sun, which is also hurdling through space with us.
Notice how the planets don't go flying off, because they're attracted to the Sun through gravity, as everything in the universe is with everything else.
- Gravity is selective. It is strong enough to constantly pull on the moon and keep it in orbit but people on the ISS are weightless.
Come on. You need to try harder than things that can just be answered with a cursory Google search and webpages intended for fourth graders.
- The coriolis effect is a myth. Drains do not drain a certain direction due to the spin of the earth. Also, long range sharp shooters do not take the coriolis effect in consideration when aiming for a target.
Drain demonstrations are highly dependent on individual setups which vary significantly, so they can't be relied on. However
our entire weather system is affected by Coriolis forces.
- The Aug 21, 2017 eclipse moving west to east when the moon always travels east to west can only be explained by a flat earth model.
That's...
that's just how the Moon moves.
- Temperatures make more sense with a much closer sun and a varying diameter path versus what scientists say they sun is actually millions of miles closer in the winter but we are tilted at an angle and that tilt creates such freezing cold weather.
I mean, the specifics of this weren't hard to grasp in middle school, so they shouldn't be too hard now, but in a nutshell: just because you personally understand something better in a simpler model doesn't mean a more complicated model doesn't explain it better and with more accuracy.
- Time lapse video of the sun rising and falling at the north pole should go from left to right but the sun keeps going up and down. It's hard to visualize but MrThriveAndSurvive did a good job explaining the phenomenon.

- The Antarctica is key to proving the earth is flat, but in 1959, all major nations signed The Antarctic Treaty, which militarily monitors and protects the Antarctic from exploration. You can visit the Antarctic on some scientific and vacation trips, but you are not allowed to explore on your own. The Antarctic Treaty is the only treaty that all nations unitarily agree upon and have no disputes over it.
Yeah, because people

- Movies/TV shows like The Truman Show, Dark City, The Matrix and Game Of Thrones hint toward flat earth or our deception of reality.
Movies like
Who Framed Roger Rabbit and
Looney Tunes: Back in Action hint at a world where we live alongside cartoon animals capable of incredible feats of anatomy. Just because something is written about in fiction and you thought it was interesting doesn't make it scientific.
Also, Game of Thrones is high fantasy that takes place on a huge Earthlike spherical planet, thank you very much.

- There is massive pressure to dismiss the notion of a flat earth. Science claims to promote questioning everything except this subject.
It's because the most basic, brainless scientific knowledge destroys the idea before it even gets started.
- Solar rays coming from a sun that is 93 million miles away should all be parallel from our perspective, but they show through clouds at wide directions as if the sun were much closer.
There's an atmosphere that is made of air and water and all kinds of other things that scatter the particles.
Arguments against the flat earth:
- The southern star trails are not easily explained on a flat earth.
- Lunar eclipses are not easily explained on a flat earth.
That's a real short list. Consider including "every single bit of actual scientific knowledge accrued and tested since humans started breathing."
Any flat Earthers out there?
Yes, because people can be monumentally stupid and ignorant of basic facts because an alternative is easier to believe and they grasp peoples' motivations to an even smaller degree than a bad character writer.
