It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
everywhere you go...

:D

Unfortunately this is all too true. Snow is predicted for tomorrow night already. Usually it holds off till Halloween, but that doesn't seem likely this year. I also had to bust out my gloves and winter coat today.

I love that! I need to master the art of making coconut whipped cream. I tried it once and it didn't work.

I went to a few stores with my daughter today and they definitely have Christmas in the stores. I pretty much tried to ignore it all, again just because I love Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and I don't want Christmas to get played out for me. I want to enjoy each holiday in its own time.

Today I found out what to buy for the last friends I didn't have a clue for. Perhaps a bit mean to buy cook books with health food for a really overweight friend, but she needs to learn how to cook healthier food, and something other than dinner.

Only thing I really have to go shopping for soon, is the presents for a places called "Fattighuset ("Poor House / House of Poors", I'm not sure what the correct translation will be). It's a place where people that have too little money can go to get food, clothes and things they need all year around. And for Christmas, of cause presents! So this is the forth year I'm buing presents for them. Most for kids and youths, but also for grown ups. One time I was there, I met several people that uses the place. And they was so happy getting the presents!

I like that. :)

Here in the US we have homeless shelters. Not sure if that's the same kind of thing you have there. We also have food banks where the poor can get food free of charge.

This is not only for the homless, but for all with a bad economicy. So all kind of people are there. I hope I can make someone happy that day. Both the one that giving the present, and recieving.

Christmas is very often a sad time of the year for homeless people. It's a wonderful gesture to think of these people at this time of the year.
