One group in particular, America's Front Line Doctors have found a way to make money off of misinformation by running web sites and hotlines. They charge for consultations and prescribe ivermectin which you can buy from them.

Over the past three months, a TIME investigation found, hundreds of AFLD customers and donors have accused the group of touting a service promising prescriptions for ivermectin....​

Yet despite the FDA’s warnings about the dangers of misusing ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19, the drug has become highly sought after in anti-vaccine circles. Doctors and pharmacists tell TIME they have noticed a surge in ivermectin prescriptions called in by telemedicine services, and a growing number of patients demanding it as an alternative to COVID-19 vaccines. Many who fail to obtain prescriptions through groups like AFLD or find it too expensive have resorted to buying an alternative from feed stores that is designed for use in livestock, according to Telegram chats, which reveal members advising each other on proper dosages. Mississippi health officials said Aug. 20 that 70% of recent calls to its poison control center were from people ingesting ivermectin meant for livestock.​

Yesterday I was feeling survivor's guilt about my local weather. We aren't being evacuated, We have electricity, running water, its not hot, and there aren't any nearby forest fires.

So now I'm having covid survivors guilt. My county is 90% fully vaccinated. Schools are open with vaccinations and mask mandates. Lots of businesses including all state and local governments have vac mandates. We are all wearing masks in public. And the county had the lowest number of new cases since April of 2020 - 17.

I'm still not going to the movies, tho.

I feel (a little) bad when I whine about what might happen and then end up faring better than some others. But even a little water scares me because I worry about mold.
I’m shocked at pictures my daughter sent me from her town in New York. Cars are completely submerged including my cousin’s car. She lives on the second floor of a condo complex and just missed getting water in her unit. First floor dwellers got flooded. The upside is tenants are obligated to get flood insurance so at least some reimbursement will be made. But what an awful thing to go through.

Hmm, let's see. the vaccine is free, and has proven to work. The the dewormer costs hundreds of dollars, and there is no scientific evidence that it works, and in fact has resulted in people getting sick.. And oh yes, a hospital stay for COVID is about $73K.
