TV & Film The Walking Dead

I signed the petition going around to fire Scott Gimple as showrunner.

Obviously won't do anything, but fan outcry that organized might at least put pressure on the network to put pressure on him to not screw things up this badly again.

To kind of further clarify the train wreck that is Scott Gimple... I hear that Gimple didn't decide to kill off Carl until in the middle of filming episode 6... How fucked up is that? It is apparent that it was a sudden decision, Carl is in the ******* flash forward to the festival!

I just hope I can stomach the Whisperer saga with the major changes they now have to make to the story, ugh. They were asking for "favorite Carl moments" on Skybound's Facebook page... I just couldn't help myself, making this comment: " You know that one time when he boned Lydia and ****** off her mom Alpha, starting a war with a bunch of necro flesh suit wearing freaks? Wasn't that awesome? Oh wait... Not going to happen... Thanks Gimps *cough* *****"

Movin' right along... swiftly.... Starting season five tomorrow. ;)

Oh, and now I know.... I watched all the way through season three (on AMC). Four was fresh. Gotta say, though... that FF button on the DVD remote comes in pretty handy when it gets too soap-opera-esque... which is far too often. LOL

Ha... Well, that's kind of what TWD is *supposed* to be... They've departed from the source material in the fact that they've removed the element where it's who's sleeping with who, who stole who's man.. Hide your strong black men from Michonne, that girl craaaaaazy! Okay fine, she's not like that at all in the TV show *shrug*.. But what I'm saying is, if it didn't get soap opera'y it wouldn't be TWD... I think early on the show got categorized in the wrong genre, and then people were disappointed and they go off saying **** like "All they do on that show anymore is talk talk talk!"

Disc two of season five wouldn't read when I tried to fire it up where it was saved, so I had to sacrifice & pop in disc three. So I missed losing Beth & how it happened... had a feeling it would, anyhoo. Sad to see Tyreese go, too.

Oh, and I have to say my instincts were dead-on about Eugene bein' a total freaking fraud from moment one. Went downstairs & mentioned that to Jer last night... he was nice & just shrugged. ;) From the get-go, I thought "Hey, jerk-offs... Mullet Man's full of sh*t & you're all idiots." LMAO

There's also the fact that if you're reading a part that doesn't appeal to you, you can just skim it and still get an idea of what's going on. TV shows make you sit through every word of it or you risk losing some little important detail.

Personally, the only soap opera part of the show that bothered me was season 2. Some of the farm stuff was absolutely unbearable.

Unless you have a fast forward button like Madam I guess  I've watched most of this season on Kodi the day after... I can't bring myself to do the fast forwarding thing myself with TV or reading for that matter.

So some interesting findings that explain a whole hell of a lot:

1. As of August 2017 Robert Kirkman has ZERO involvement with the AMC TV shows, he has no say or input at all, they are not obliged to follow Kirkman's vision... He is instead working with Amazon on producing shows for them.

2. He's in middle of a profit scam lawsuit against AMC.. AMC set up a second company to skim profits from other people's piece of the pie. Douchebags right?

I knew about 2., but somehow missed 1. when the news first broke.

I watch stuff with captions now... have for a while.... so on the slowest FF function, I can still see the dialog (so much of it is clumsy & awkward, with painful pacing), but I can get through it much quicker.

Oh, and I know Sasha's not gonna last a hell of a lot longer 'cuz she's in the new Star Trek series.... :p

My favorite character is Glenn, always has been... I'm gonna be sad when he goes. :( But for now, he's still representin' Michigan!! LOL

Yeah, but he goes out so ******* awesomely! :D

Yeah, but he goes out so ****ING awesomely! :D
So I'm assuming you don't mean when he's flung into the zombie mosh-pit because the d*ckhole who tried to kill him decides to blow his brains out....

It was quick, but I swear it's not Glenn being ripped to shreds, but the dude who offed himself... and Glenn's trapped underneath him.

Tell me I'm right, because that was NOT a "f*cking awesome" way to go. I kept saying out loud, "No...? No...? Nuh-uh... nooo....?"

:brood: Curses.

LOL :p

I think I may be right, though....

I'm a little miffed that for the first time in months, I neglected to push the "position memory" on the remote before turning off the DVD player last night. However, I have no trouble remembering exactly where I left off, I'll just have to search for it.... "I have come to believe that all life has meaning.... That's why we're eating oatmeal burgers." :D

HA HA... Scott Gimple (so fvcking long, fvcker!) is no longer the show runner... Not fired exactly, but rather more like "promoted"
