Religion Do you need religion to conquer addiciction

I thought AA was secular and Church Bible studies were for Christians to get out of addictions… Right now I am using Spiritual lifestyles and Yoga and stuff to get me out of addictions, i don't need religions and fear mongering messages to control my life.
