Whats is up with the citric additions to spicy spice blends?
I just poured a free trial bag of Penzeys Outcast, which has cayenne as the main ingredient, followed by CITRIC ACID. It's hot and citrusy!
I can't stand heat with citrus, like that popular chili lime Tajin .
Tajin isn't hot as they use mild chilis instead of those fiery ones. It has more of a tangy flavour and really gives food a bit of
a kick without the heat. I have bought other brands of chili & lime seasonings but they didn't taste very good and Tajin comes out as a winner.
What Is Tajin Seasoning and Why You Should Be Using It
Tajin is the brand name of a mildly spicy dried chili and lime seasoning blend from Mexico. It adds zing to virtually any type of dish or drink.
