These "kids" are going to accomplish something amazing... something "well-meaning" grown-ups have failed to even get to the f*cking table....
I know I've said I've not a fan of kids. Many times. Well, I've never been so damn impressed in my life as I am now. I am so heartened & respirited by what's happening... I didn't think it was possible... We as "adults" can't let them down. Support their movement. It's not ours anymore. They are the ones to move us all forward....

He used his father's gun. His father was a veteran and a police officer. The parents had come to take him home because he was having some sort of psychotic break, and the father, like most off duty officers, had his gun along.
So much for the Republican idea that veterans would make superb armed teachers to stop school shootings.
A horrible, awful tragedy.

Hell, I lived in Saginaw for 10 years.... every single day for quite a while, gun murders.... but you only heard about it on local news, then it vanished.
"Sagnasty" (while I lived there) had the highest murder rate per capita in the country after Hurricane Katrina (NOLO was the top spot before that), but who knew?? Not many....
