I usually watch PBS on mute with some good music on.I'll be watching one of the propaganda machines -- whichever one has the most relevant info on the screen -- on mute.
The Oktoberfest Sam Adams? I had that recently, it was delicious. The fridge is stocked with Sam Adams, to either celebrate or drown my sorrows.
The regular stuff. Winterfest was already on the shelf -- not a fan. Oktoberfest is really good, though. The Oktoberfest Sam Adams? I had that recently, it was delicious.
Well, Sam Adams, election day, they do seem to go together. The regular stuff. Winterfest was already on the shelf -- not a fan. Oktoberfest is really good, though.
I left work early, both to vote in the afternoon, and a job interview!I always get drunk on election night... somehow it makes watching the returns come in a little more bearable.
It's things like this that scare me: http://tv.msnbc.com/2012/11/06/machine-turns-vote-for-obama-into-one-for-romney/
If we have electronic machines, I think I'm going to ask for a paper ballot.
I'm fortunate that I set my own work hours right now so I can get drunk and watch the returns tonight without trepidation.Wish it were a friday...I'll be up late with all kinds of nerves!
I'll be voting on Tuesday in the morning and then driving up to my mom's place to take her to her polling place. The woman has Alzheimer's and I'm sure there are folks who feel that her vote shouldn't count, but she definitely knows who she wants to support, and voting is something that allows her to feel like she is still a contributing member of society.
Good for you, SB! My mom still lives in my hometown... about an hour away from me... and the population is so small that they were all excited that they were gonna break 100 voters today! So nobody was too upset when it took mom twenty minutes to cast her vote.My mom is not bad off yet, just slipping. I took her last week to avoid the crowds.
