Lush!

I don't live anywhere near a lush. :( In fact, I haven't lived near a lush store since Korea, and then I didn't have any idea about how awesome they are. I'm kinda hesitant to order anything online, as I'm kinda picky about smells. We do order the massage bars, though. BF and I both have bad backs, and the massage bars for sore muscles really work. I really recommend them. :)

And now I want to try toothy tabs! Maybe next time we place an order, I'll sneak in a pack.

maybe they are using less sodium lauryl sulphate and paraben preservatives these days but the last time they were chock full of them. I recall the shampoo bars making my hands scale up and peel.

Not all of their shampoos contain SLS, and not all of their products contain parabens.

When I read reviews of the shampoos, a lot of people complain about the ones with SLS, but then on the shampoos that don't have it, there are complaints that it doesn't get foamy, and even though the foam isn't necessary for it to work, some people refuse to re-purchase a shampoo that doesn't foam up.

Similarly, people complain about the products that still have parabens, but then on the products that don't have them, people complain that they go bad too quickly. Well duh, there's no preservative (parabens).

That's the Boxing Day Sale (the only sale they have), but it lasts until everything is sold out. I took a half day off work so I could go to the in-store sale. :p
(I think they do not have the sale in-store in MA, but I forget why.)

Has anyone tried their Skin Conditioner? It's pretty much amazing. [/quote]

Ro's Argan? I love everything about it. (Except the price, which makes me cry.)

Interesting about the toothy tabs... I feel like when I use them at bedtime I wake in the morning without that yucky morning breath/mouth. Could be my imagination but I like it.

I feel like that, too! When I used regular toothpaste, I always woke up feeling like something died in my mouth overnight. I haven't had that since I started using the Toothy Tabs.
I also like not having residual artificial-mint flavour in my mouth for an hour after I brush in the morning.

I must admit, I've stopped using the toothy tabs. I was finding throughout the day my mouth didn't feel nice - not sure how to explain it really.

But I noticed they work well for overnight use too, so maybe ill use them then :)

I was very lucky this Christmas and got lots of Lush products for Christmas, mainly because nobody knows what else to get me now I'm vegan haha, I'm definitely not complaining. I got the following but haven't tried them yet, will report back as I do:

Daddy-o shampoo which is for blonde hair to stop is going brassy.

Grass Shower Gel smells amazingly like freshly cut grass, beautiful.

Soft Coeur Massage Bar in a re usable metal tin. It's not vegan as it has a chocolate and honey centre, so I will probably just use it on the boyfriend, but it does smell wonderful. Plus I can use the lovely tin for other Lush products when travelling.

Dream Steam Tab for face steaming, can't wait to try with to open my pores before using a face pack.

Toothy tab samples to try

You Snap the Whip body butter. Looks very menacing, all black and what not, but I need a good exfoliate.

Angels Delight Soap BEST SMELLING SOAP EVER! And it looks stunning, especially when you see the whole soap before it's cut.

No drought dry shampoo I'm so lazy, this pleases me greatly. It's much better quality than the sprays and is great value for money as well as it last ages and ages and smells great.

An awesome present shaped bath bomb from my lovely Secret Santa (SummerRain), thank you very much. I can't waitttt to use it. It's beatifu;l and yellow/cream on the outside, but a piece has fallen off and I can see it's a striking blue colour inside.

Face pack, not sure what one yet, my mum hid it in the shed to keep it chilled and now can't find it?! haha bit of a late Christmas gift.

Then I got two lovely Christmas sets:

Snow Fairy:
Snow Fairy limited shower gel smells like candyfloss and is a beaitiful girly pink colour.
Angels delight soap even though it's called angels delight soap, it smells and looks different to the above mentioned angel's delight soap. This one is a pink sparkyl star shape and smells like jelly baby's. It's adorable
Shimmy Shimmy Glitter Bar I can't wait to use this before my next night out with the girls, it feels so nice when I rub it on my skin

Unknown gift box (the name of it was on the gift wrap which got thrown away):
Ro's Argan body conditioner I'm really excited to try this after it was mentioned above
Twilight Shower gel It smells gorgeous, like lavendar, which is one of my favourite smells.
A hand shaped something, perhaps massage bar? (the what's what was printed on the paper). It's yellow and has a sily texture.
A star shaped something, probably a soap. It smells lovely and fresh and is cream witha gold coating.

BEST SHOP IN THE WORLD.

Although I have no excuse not to always be looking my best now!

The hand-shaped thing is Tiny Hands, which is meant to be like a solid hand cream sort of thing. Basically a massage bar/body butter, but just for your hands.

The star-shaped thing is Snowcake soap, one of my favourites. :) I love the fragrance, and it's one of their few soaps that I find moisturizing.

I got my mom and MIL both a similar wrapped gift, which came with Twilight shower gel, Tiny Hands, Snowcake, a sample pot of Dream Cream hand cream, and a sample tin of Ultra Balm.

Lush bath tonight!
Half of a Golden Slumbers bomb, half a Dorothy bubble bar, and half a Dreamtime bath melt. Washed up afterwards with Figs & Leaves soap, then Ro's Argan. I think Dorothy gave me more bubbles than any other bubble bar I've used.

I took in some empty black pots today to get a free face mask. I used to be very oily, used Cupcake all the time. My skin has now flipped to very very dry, so I got Oatifix this time. Also picked up a bit of the Valentine's Day soap (Willow Pattern) and V-Day lip gloss (The Kiss).

It was nice!

I have been using Big shampoo and Big Solid conditioner for a week - got nice samples of them - and I really like them. I'll probably keep using the conditioner, but I think Big shampoo is maybe out of my price range. (Unless I can manage to keep getting free samples :p )

That bath sounds so lovely!

Their face masks are amazing.

I'm going to have to check out the valentines stuff now. :)

the last visit I had to Lush was less than stellar. The sales girls were hopeless. I went in to buy toothy tabs and wanted to be tempted for more, but they were so horrible that they were LUCKY I even bought the tabs.

I ended up getting new perfume from Lush...in the 50% off sale.
I got B Scent for £7.50! Its beautiful, smells really nice, totoally reminds me of the perfume M got me a few years back from Lushs sister store B Never too busy to be Beautiful.

Bath time! I needed something seriously calming tonight. I used a Golden Wonder bath bomb from my Boxing Day Sale haul, and tossed in a quarter of a Floating Island bath melt. Maybe it's a weird combination (lime and cognac with vanilla and sandalwood) but it's working for me right now.

I need to get it together and order a big box of bath melts from Lush UK before it gets too warm out.

I gave up regular deodorants after my health issue last year, because of all the nasty chemicals in them. Unfortunately I'm a pretty sweaty, smelly girl without deodorant. I was using the Coconut deo powder, and it was fine for winter but it's not cutting it in the summer heat.

Yesterday I stopped in and picked up a block of Aromaco solid deo to try out. I was originally more interested in T'eo, as I'm not much of a patchouli fan, but the online reviews for Aromaco were better. The sales woman gave me a sample of The Guv'ner deo powder to try - she said it's good dusted over Aromaco on really hot days. Trying it out today. The patchouli isn't too pronounced, I don't mind it.

Hopefully these work out for me!
