Lush!

the last visit I had to Lush was less than stellar. The sales girls were hopeless.

Wow, you need to come to the UK, you can't get rid of the sales assistants for love nor money. Usually I spend about five minutes browsing, get asked five times (not even an exaggeration) if I need help, and then leave because I'm fed up of being bothered.

I know it's their job, and if you do need help they're always super helpful, and know about everything in the shop which is fantastic, but I like to shop in peace - it really is rather annoying to be asked constantly if you want help. It's starting to put me off shopping there .

Aromaco worked well for me yesterday. I was in and out of the heat, then worked out for an hour and a half (indoors, but I was pretty sweaty), and I wasn't stinky at all. I haven't tried it together with the powder yet, but it seems like any of their powder deo's would be good used with Aromaco.

I thought the patchouli smell was more pronounced later in the day, but I'd rather smell like patchouli than like stinky sweat.

This makes me happy, as I've tried several other brands of "natural" deodorant in my life, and every one of them made me smell worse than going without. Hopefully this continues to work.

Ooh I am going to try this. There is a Lush store right down the street. I am in Florida and need something that actually works. I got sick of being sweaty and smelly all the time and finally broke down and bought some regular antiperspirant but I hate using it and save it for days I really need it. :/

If you chat with the sales person, they might give you a sample to try it out before you buy it!

They did give me a sample which is a good thing because I found the patchouli smell too strong :/

I am really sensitive to smells though...dove unscented deodorant even has too strong of a smell (what's up with that?)

I wish I could afford more LUSH goodies.
I only got the perfume (which Im addicted to now) because my sister and her boyfriend got me lots of voucher for xmas/birthday...

How excitable are the staff...I mean theyre off their nuts with happiness!
I dont think us Brits like to be bothered too much....or perhaps its just you and me. I feel very edgy when I go in...I feel like I HAVE to buy something because theyve helped me so much...A girl explained all the perfumes to me, she was on about 15 minutes really going overboard with details...then I said I needed to think about it and left...I was so nervous and over whelmed talking to a stranger for that long. My friend who was with me is awesome at small talk so i assumed she liked the girl, when we left she said 'she was a bit full on wasnt she'

Same. I mean, I splash out on things that I cant really afford now & again but there's no Lush stores anywhere near me so can't buy something frivolously whilst passing & it's not a place I would like to buy online from either really.

Really really hoping there's a store in Cambridge (there must be?!) that I can get to.

I need some perfume mainly. Have been using up my bazillions of old ones & need to find a nice cruelty free one. Obviously I'm not going to buy fragrance online without knowing what it smells like.

^That was my problem...Plus not all LUSH stores stock all the perfume I believe.

I got B Scent. Its beautiful!

Oh really? Didn't know that.

Did you get the spray perfume or the stick? the stick seems good for travel...actually hate having to carry bottles around.

So fussy with fragrance. Hope they have something nice :D

I got the stick as it was cheaper incase i didnt like it.
I recommend getting sprays on you or the test cards, and going for a coffee and keep having a sniff as the perfumes smell different outside lush etc. In my experience anyway.

Definitely. I remember putting the vanillery one on my wrist, thinking it smelt disgusting (so not buying it) & then kicking myself for not getting it as it later developed into such a nice smell. :(

Some of the new lush perfumes are soooo nice. My favourite was Sikkim sisters (weird name!), it lasted til I showered the next morning. They smelt funny at first but then got a lot nicer. Didnt want to spend the money at that time though (It was £14 for a tiny bottle).

What perfume smelt too strongly of patchouli? I LOVE patchoili!

I'm thinking about getting some Lush stuff myself so this thread has been informative. Has anyone used any of the face cleansers?

Well, I'm glad you were able to try it out before spending the money.

I think Karma is patchouli.

I haven't smelled the new perfumes yet.
