its just MILK (period)
Even the dictionary agrees.

1a: a fluid secreted by the mammary glands of females for the nourishment of their young
b(1): milk from an animal and especially a cow used as food by people
(2): a food product produced from seeds or fruit that resembles and is used similarly to cow's milk
vegan milk

2: a liquid resembling milk in appearance: such as
a: the latex of a plant
b: the contents of an unripe kernel of grain

However, is this a fight worth fighting. We KNOW we want plant milk. Don't really care what it's called.

But maybe calling Almond Milk - Nut Juice -is a step too far

I can't believe the Airline was this stupid. Everyone knows. One banana is not a vegan meal. You have to have at least seven.

a long time ago they tried to serve me baby food as my vegan meal... despite the fact that it said (poulet) on it... ha they thought I couldn't read French - it was Air France

Was oat #1? Or just one of the choices.
Was soy on the list?

I'm guessing low fat, skim, chocolate, oat
It was four words that could precede milk. I remember chocolate, cold, and oat. No soy.
Just thought it was cool that oat made it

It's actually gone somewhere already.
A lot of companies have stopped using the word milk just in order to avoid court battles and/or have to change the name on the package later.
For instance, Trader Joe's Almond Juice. I don't keep track of what is happening abroad - but I remember reading articles about it from other countries too.

But yeah it's kind of stupid.
I'm ok with milk being meant for mammalary glands for infants--but it's never been used that limited.
"Juice" is pretty disgusting, but it is what it is.
I've always found it amusing that people call Trader Joes shelf stable carton soy "milk" when it's always been called "soy beverage.
I imagine grain, bean and nut beverages will still get called 'milk'. I also doubt it will affect sales
