News Plant Based/Vegan

Looks like science has come up with a soft serve ice cream made from beans. I haven't seen any soft serve vegan options here in Canada yet. We have lots of non-dairy ice creams, but all hard.

Soft serve would be nice if places actually serve it. I feel the demand for non-dairy is probably higher than for plant-based meats, which hopefully makes it more appealing to vendors. It would be nice to see this option everywhere they have soft serve ice cream, but that's wishful thinking.

Not sure.... but I thought I had soft serve non diary a few times at a few places.
maybe yogurt -and not ice cream.

@Lou

It could be available in the odd local place here in Vancouver. I just haven't seen it yet. It's not like I've gone searching for it though.

"Despite having its plan suspended for being ‘too vague’, France is once again trying to ban plant-based meat labels it says are ‘misleading’
France has reignited the feud against plant-based meat labels.

Last year, the country attempted to become the first in the EU to ban terms like ‘steak’ and ‘ribs’ on meat alternative products, arguing they are ‘misleading’ to consumers.
However, the proposal was suspended by the country’s highest administrative court just a month later for being ‘too vague’ – as well as issues with timing."
