Post Something Cool From The Internet

I've been following the mowing guy for a while.
It's interesting that people can make a living by YouTubing stuff at work. Like the lady groomer who does dogs for free.
anyway this story with the cat and sanctuary is so good.

I don't want to wish summer away but this summer has been brutal with the humidity. Very few days where I can actually enjoy being outside. They are claiming that our Fall season will be a "sizzler" so maybe that means warmer than average for that time of year and maybe we will have some nice low humidity summery type days even if it isn't "cool". I don't know how I feel about that as I love crisp autumn days. But since I can't do anything about it I'm trying to just take each day as it comes.

Fall is my favorite season, so I'm not looking forward to a sizzler at all, lol. I enjoy crisp fall days as well. I, too, hope fall doesn't have a lot of humidity.

I love fall, too. Our area usually has quite spectacular foliage colors, as well as fresh, locally-grown apples.

But I think there's something seriously wrong with me, because I actually like hazy, hot, humid days. I think they're pleasant... but on the other hand, I just want to lounge around, and too much of that is NOT GOOD. My ancestry is a mix of Irish, English, and German- and since none of those places are noted for tropical-feeling summers, I have no clue where I got it from.:iiam:

I have a friend who is like that. You will never ever hear her say it's too hot or humid. She thrives in it. If it wasn't for the fact that it zaps every ounce of energy from me I wouldn't mind so much. But I can't function if I'm too hot. Or too cold for that matter. I decided I need a temperature controlled bubble in order to be happy. 😂

I read somewhere that this summer was the hottest one EVER.

Maybe another good reason to move north.

Yuh think 🤔 this is real?

yes.
Somewhat over stated but true.

Peters Map Vs. Mercator Map Projection
The Peters projection is known for its area accuracy - no countries incorrectly in proportion to one another. On the other hand, the Mercator projection map by Gerardus Mercator has been around since it was developed in 1569, preserving angles and shapes with grace and ease.

This is where I first learned about it. On the West Wing's Big Block of Cheese Day.
A great explanation easily digestible.

Thanks ☺️ for that Lou , it’s a
wonder we haven’t been to war over it ….. my country is bigger than your country .

It seems some are adopting the the Peter’s reasoning.

Peters projection map is the map that UNESCO promotes.

In 1989, seven North American geographical powerhouses banded together to give the boot to all rectangle-shaped world maps by adopting a resolution, including the Mercator and Gall-Peters projections.
