How did you prepare it ? Halloumi is quite salty and a bit rubbery. I like it pan fried and drizzled with pomegranate molasses served with a rocket and strawberry salad with loads of olive oil vinaigrette.

Yes, I remember it as quite rubbery and very salty. I fried the vegan halloumi in extra virgin olive oil and then put lemon juice and black pepper on top and had with tomatoes and cucumber. I didn't add any extra salt. There were two sheets in the pack so I think I will cube the other sheet before I fry it next time.

Try it with a drizzle of concentrated balsamique vinegar. I really like Halloumi.

Ha, well, it's not like I'm going to buy a 3 course meal at each place, I just want to try them to see what ones I like.

I get free travel on public transport in London because of my husband's job too, so that helps.;) There are lots of free things to do in London too, parks, museums etc... I went to an art gallery the other day when I visited a new vegan cafe. It sounds like I work for the London tourist board.:p It's just that I thought I should take advantage of the fact that I live in one of the best countries in the world and in one of the best cities in the world.:)

Totally agree. London is a very special place.

Yummy! Tesco Free From Blackcurrant Cheesecakes.

I tried to order the dairy free Ben & Jerry's ice cream from Tesco, but they brought a non-vegan substitute.

I just had a microwave meal of spaghetti, veggieballs, spinach and arrabbiata sauce from ASDA - wow! I thought that was quite good. It has also opened my eyes to arrabbiata sauce.

I really can't find a good waterproof voluminous mascara - most of them just seem to make your eyelashes black. I want volume! Don't suppose anyone has any recommendations? Preferably £10 or under.

I used to use a few of their products (they're so cheap - it's amazing) but I remember the mascara not being good. Have you tried any of the mascaras?

I usually stock up on these kind of products when I'm in the US as they are far cheaper. I have however bought quite a few of their eye crayons by Gosh which are amazing.

They are far better than any other expensive brand that I've tried. I also have tried their lipsticks which are also great. I will definitely make a point of buying more MUA products during my next trip back home.
Is there a particular reason why you want to a WP mascara ? I really prefer the standard type as the look is far more natural and the ingredients aren't as harsh on the eyelashes.

Think I'm going to order one of these. Has anyone tried one or something similar?

I bought the laundry kit from QVC which includes the white and colour (Fresh Linen) ecoegg,
the stain remover, pastilles for the machine and the tin box.
I'm really pleased not to use detergent anymore and also delighted to save so much money.

Oh, excellent! & they work well? That's good to hear. I'm going for the lavender scent :)

They do and without that awful lingering artificial scent that you have with detergent. I have a few years before I get through my 2 eggs. I also received the refills.

^ Did you try it yet Raggle? I've never tried it.

I used the Faith in Nature blackcurrant exfoliant and organic calendula scrub today and yesterday and think it is lovely and gentle on my skin.

It was on the best cruelty free products list along with the Tropic range. I haven't tried the Tropic range yet. I might get it for my birthday.

I love the Alpro pineapple and peach yoghurts too. Yum!

Not yet! I've still got a whole bottle of Astonish detergent to use up first. Are you thinking of trying?

I'm still obsessed with Tropic. Doubt I'll use anything else anytime soon. :)

I saw that Hackney has a new vegan pub. The Spread Eagle. I'm going to have to try it this year.

London Now Has Its First 100% Vegan Pub

Has anyone tried the following brand of vegan cheese , Mouse's Favourite ?

No, I haven't tried it. The only vegan cheese I've tried apart from ones you can buy at the supermarket was Vegusto.

I might try it after I use up the stuff I have too.
