TV & Film Stuff in movies and on TV that bothers you

lots of profanity and sexual themes, I can tolerate a few scenes but all through the movie? Heck no. I am fighting with someone because of one of the movies she seen attacks all walks of life and have so much profanity and all. I am not trying to to judge folks that goes see's these films but these themes throws me off in movies.

Making acts of super human strength look easy without realizing it. Near the end of Snow White and the Huntsman, for example (though a decent movie overall), she goes running up a flight of stairs wearing armor that more than likely would have weighed more than she did without even getting winded.

And while we're on the subject of love making... Sex scenes where the guy manages to bring out the big O in like 2 minutes. I've gotta learn their trick.

I mentioned this at the other place but it really annoys me: eating chinese take out directly out of the cardboard carton. Of course everyone knows how to use chopsticks correctly also.

People never seem to work. They have jobs/careers, but they are rarely seen actually working unless the whole theme of the tv show or movie is about their job or somewhat related to their job.

Scenes where families sit down at the kitchen table for dinner every single night. That hardly ever happens in real life unless it's a holiday or a special get together.

The fact that people always seems to get under their covers when they're having sex. Wat? Am I the only person who doesn't do that? Why would you want a blanket covering you? Related to that, after they've had sex, the woman using the sheet to cover herself. After I've had sex with someone, I don't often suddenly feel the need to cover my breasts as though they haven't seen them already.

No it still happens, we've had to be flexible with dinner times over the years depending on the kids schedules but we always did it every single night.

Lights on, full disclosure is the only way to go. Who wants to fumble around blind.

I was about to start a thread like this specifically for animals. I watch shows mostly just as an escape. I have a particular fondness for real-life re-enactment shows. I was just watching old "I Shouldn't Be Alive" episodes, which are mostly free of animals and abuse - they're almost exclusively about humans struggling to survive in some isolated environment.

I start watching one about some big-ego'd guy who fancied himself an explorer who decided to go into the Amazon. As soon as he said that he picked up a friendly stray dog to take the journey with him I suspected there would be trouble. After a dangerous trip and losing the dog in the wilderness, against all odds the dog manages to scent him out to be by his side - the dog is that loyal. Then the guy gets hungry and hacks up the dog to eat him. Didn't really seem to bother the guy much. The dog was a tool who served his purpose first as loyal companion then as food source (which it turned out the guy couldn't even eat and should have realized that would be the case because his stomach was irritated). It really ****** me off. The guy took the dog out of his village where he was probably fed scraps and looked after by villagers, to fear and death in the Amazon - all because the guy wanted a thrill.

Argh. I'm so sick of humans involving animals in their selfishness and stupidity. Can't I just have an escape from it without having to scout every show for animal cruelty?
