TV & Film Stuff in movies and on TV that bothers you

1. When people order drinks/food and then leave without eating or drinking any of it.

2. When people are 'drinking' from obviously empty cups. At least hold it like it's full of liquid instead of gesticulating wildly with it.

3. When characters or important back-story is introduced to serve one episode, and then is forgotten about forever after.

That empty cup thing annoys the hell out of me. It's like the actors don't even bother anymore. It's just so obvious. At least make the bottom weighted or something, or heaven forbid...actually put a drink in there!

People have hundreds of candles just hanging around in their houses to light when they have a sex scene.:D

Hey, my house is like that - isn't everyone's?!

I was thinking the same thing... one can never be too prepared! :)

The only candles I have around the house are for de-stinking the place...

Not that many sex scenes happening here.

Chicken, egg... cause, effect... who knows?:iiam:

The fact that people always seems to get under their covers when they're having sex. Wat? Am I the only person who doesn't do that? Why would you want a blanket covering you? Related to that, after they've had sex, the woman using the sheet to cover herself. After I've had sex with someone, I don't often suddenly feel the need to cover my breasts as though they haven't seen them already.

That, and more often than not the ladies just leave their bras on.

When people die in space they just freeze. Total Recall probably had it more accurate, they'd be all broken blood vessels and grotesque, and you can't just hold your breathe for 30 seconds to get through the vacuum of space, it's not like water.

Fight scenes are just ridiculous pretty all the time. Female actors all of ninety lbs holding their own with 250lb dudes? Nice thought, but sorry no. Maybe if they never got hit, but one punch from a guy like that is going to knock that chick on her *** and have her head spinning, and it's just not physically possible for her hits to be as powerful. And all that stuff yakherder said. It's so easy to knock someone unconscious and there are no lasting repercussions. We're talking serious head injury here!

And more. So much more.

Sounds like you need to invest in like, six hundred identical white candles.

And turn off your smoke alarm, cause that's so not sexy.

It'd be pretty boring otherwise.

Well, even if you are light, there is a strong possibility that your punches are going to cause a major hurt, depending on where you hit, and ones skill.

All things being equal though...

Of course, but a smaller person needs to fight in a different way, especially the size difference inherent between movie heroines and their male combatants, and that's just not what television shows.

Also it bothers me that everyone is so young, like all the doctor's are 25. Even the 'best of the best' doctors. It takes time to learn these skills.

And every women has shaved legs and underarms, no matter the time period the movie is portraying.

I think I already posted this on VB, but it still really bugs me: Every Asian person is portrayed as being a master at martial arts, no matter how young they are, and can kick rings around every Caucasian person, even somebody with a black belt in karate who has been practicing for years.

And of course, every black person is a terrific singer and dancer.

Unless they're facing Chuck.

Movies and TV shows that have characters do the wrong kind of first aid. It's an opportunity to educate the public about how to save lives but it's squandered simply because writers don't bother to learn first aid.

If a couple hears a window smash downstairs in the middle of the night, the man tells the woman to go into the bedroom and he picks up a baseball bat or a fire poker to go to investigate.

I mentioned this at the other place but it really annoys me: eating chinese take out directly out of the cardboard carton.

I do this.

If a couple hears a window smash downstairs in the middle of the night, the man tells the woman to go into the bedroom and he picks up a baseball bat or a fire poker to go to investigate.

I've done this, though it wasn't a window (or a bat) and it was less 'you wait here' and more 'GO SEE WHAT THAT IS, IT MIGHT MURDER US OR SOMETHING'. At the time I was too confused by the excessive response to realize that I was being sacrificed. o_O

lots of profanity and sexual themes, I can tolerate a few scenes but all through the movie? Heck no. I am fighting with someone because of one of the movies she seen attacks all walks of life and have so much profanity and all. I am not trying to to judge folks that goes see's these films but these themes throws me off in movies.

You're 'fighting' with someone because they saw a film you don't like? O...kay...

Yes she made into a drama queen fight and took all of sunday to rant and rave like a baby about it and I tried to stop I only sent her one review to show her why we don't watch it. I can handle some profanity ETC but not in the entire movie.
