I'll be in Minneapolis with my friends for a Tool concert on Halloween.
Thank you, Tom! Oh, and I'm going to see them a fourth time on this tour (three were already planned). My mom somehow got comped two tickets for a show at Mohegan Sun casino. That's only an hour from my house. So my sis and I will see them twice together. Happy, happy.Enjoy the concert, @PTree15 !! I don't think I'm familiar with their music, bur I might have heard it from somebody's Boom Box or on the radio.
I love their videos! I like heavy and not so heavy, too, but Tool is in my top 10 favorite bands.I had to YouTube Tool. A little too "heavy" for this old bird lol. But then I wasn't into it much even in my younger days. The videos are cool though! I imagine seeing/hearing them in concert must be great.
Yes and Led Zeppelin were my favorite bands when I was a teenager. Zeppelin was often accused of stealing or using other's music, but I did/do enjoy their versions of other's material.@PTree15 I generally like progressive rock (Yes, for example)- and hard rock too, so long as it doesn't get into lyrics about suicide, drug use, or similarly destructive stuff. When I'm in the mood for it, I can listen to something like "Cold Turkey" by John Lennon or "In My Time Of Dying" by Led Zeppelin (I just googled that- and it seems Led Zeppelin might have plagiarized a similar song by Bob Dylan... unless it is an old song in the public domain, and they only took credit for their version of it?...) Anyhow, those songs don't celebrate death or drug use- they just depict someone trying their best to deal with them.
Oops- I almost forgot this is the Halloween thread. We could discuss some of Alice Cooper's music...
I'll have to listen to some Tool on YouTube.
Guess who was at the casino on Friday for a Tool Concert!!!I'll be in Minneapolis with my friends for a Tool concert on Halloween.
