TV & Film The TV Room

Just watched the new episodes of “Lincoln Lawyer” on Netflix.
While I like it, I am a little concerned about the not-so-subtle changes they made to the story.
Guess they were necessary to update the 2011 story from “foreclosure epidemic” to “gentrification”.

Thanks for the heads up on this - we are definitely going to watch this and Jack Ryan new episodes this week.

I started watching "Daisy Jones and the Six" on Amazon. It is a series based on a book, I think. It's about a band in the 70's. So far it's pretty good after a couple episodes.

I just watched the last episodes of Dawson's Creek. I was bawling at the last two episode finale! Didn't expect that ending.

I wasn't going to watch 65 on Netflix, cause it looked pretty lame. but I saw it jumped to #1 on Netflix. So how bad can it be?
Well it is even worse than I imagined.
Can't give it a fair review because I turned it off after 20 minutes.
I'm used to not getting too analytical about the premises of sci fi moves. But this one had such big problems in the set up. Most of it could have been cleaned up with a few extra lines or dialog. or even just cutting out some stuff and let the viewer imagine why an astronaut is stranded on an unknown planet. To me it just signals that the writers just didn't care enough. Or they were so stupid they didn't even see the problems.

Tonight I think I'm going to watch the 2011 movie, the Lincoln Lawyer. I think it might be good.

I watched one episode of The OC to see what it was like. Very unrealistic premise to a show!

I decided to start on The Lincoln Lawyer after as a few of you mentioned it on here. I had seen the film years ago, but I can't remember it.

I finished Daisy Jones and the Six. It was a 10 episode mini series. It was really good. The 70's well portrayed with lots of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. I will now get the book and see how well the show followed it. The young woman playing Daisy is Elvis's granddaughter!

I'm browsing Netflix so I'm now watching Taylor Swift Reputation tour.

I have to check when the free trial of Netflix runs out.

I started watching "Poker Face" and it is pretty interesting. It is about a woman who can tell if someone is lying and she gets into all kinds of trouble. Benjamin Bratt is a bad guy in it and I always liked him in other shows.

I started that show and after something like 6 episodes I thought it was over. I still haven't gone back to it.
Should though. Good concept. and I like the actress.
there is that one episode where the bbq guy goes vegan after watching Okja. that was the best.
