I have been watching that show and I love it! I compared her to Monk because she has that weird/savant ability. She just isn't as neurotic as Monk but just as brilliant. I think she is adorable! LOL
So why do you think she dresses the way she does? is there a rationale for it? It doesn't seem realistic for a single mom trying to get by.

I thought the way she dresses was totally inappropriate for a Mom of 3 kids including a baby and a teenager. And of course it is way out of line for police work! LOL However, I think it portrays her free spirit and how she does not fit the norm is part of her charm.

Am now in the middle of the first season of « Them » on Amazon, all I can say is « Wow! »

I am normally not a horror fan, but this series is very powerful - if you can stomach it. Hits very hard.

The first season plays in the 50s, literally what (white) Americans have in front of their inner eye when they hear the words « Make America Great Again » … and the series suggests while this might not be so great for everybody else, horror elements aside

Highly suggested, but again, not easy to stomach.

we finished the first half of the 7th season of Outlander on Netflix and will likely have to wait a long while for the 2nd half although it will be out on November 22 on Starz - apparently an 8th season is also coming

we have a 2 month trial of Apple TV and started watching Silo (after our weekly Survival episode) - it is pretty interesting and we got in 3 episodes last night

I am going to search this thread however if anyone has anything special that is on Apple TV that you think we should watch, please feel free to list it.

I also want to watch Silo. My nephew recommends Shrinking. My sister recommends Slow Horses. I watched Lesson In Chemistry - having loved the book. And everyone likes Ted Lasso.

A new reality show in the new hallmark+ app called Finding Mr. Christmas. I binged the first four episodes. It's so fun! It airs once a week on Thursdays. Ten guys compete for a leading role in a hallmark Christmas movie. Each week one guy gets sent home. I normally hate reality tv but I got hooked on this one.

thank you so much @Lou

We stopped watching Silo because my honey felt it was too dark... and started watching Ted Lasso and we are enjoying that.

RIght now we are watching George Knapp's "Investigation Alien" - my honey is a big fan of George Knapp and so he is glued to the TV presently.

We watched the second series of Slow Horses last night. We are getting through it really quickly as there are only 6 episodes in each series, so far.

we have been watching 1 episode of Silo and 2 or 3 of Ted Lasso so the dark is offset by the light

we have also been 'travelling' by YouTube - watching others that travel and especially the ones that takes specialty train tours - yesterday we watched a luxury train tour in Japan, Finland and recently an Agawa Train tour video (it goes from my hometown and I did it in the 70s), some in the US, Europe - it is a really wonderful way to see the world and I can sit right here on my couch lol (the only challenge with this is having to watch people eat non-vegan food)

We might watch videos like that too. Any recommendations on YT?

We were just saying that we want to book some trips next year as we haven't done anything in years because of our pets and health issues. Japan was on our list, but the food seems bad as I could eat rice, tofu and veg but my husband eats more UK/American style food so I think he would starve!
