Well, it's a Hallmark show so unless you are into that stuff, it could easily have gone under your radar.@KLS52 Huh. Fantasy is a favorite genre of mine, but somehow I hadn't even heard of The Good Witch. I suppose it's because my television hasn't been that functional since broadcasting went digital. I remember the exact moment it happened: the news had been reporting about the upcoming switchover, and although my TV can be set to accept digital input, I hadn't even bothered to get a digital antenna. One moment: some sort of footrace; the next: snow... and silence (except for maybe a low, staticky hiss.
And it looks like the Good Witch is not in my immediate future. The TV show requires a Hallmark Channel membership. And the movies are all VOD - so there are ads you have to watch.
So I started the Discovery of Witches last night. So far it's ok. I'll watch at least one or two more episodes.
I was browsing YouTube this morning and they sent me a short with a clip from a Disney show called Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. It is very much a rip off or a homage to Doogie Hauser. This Doogie is a teenage girl and lives in Hawaii. I've been looking for a show I can watch at lunch time - and this may be it. Hawaii itself appears to be the costar in this show. And the show is filled with stereotypes of Hawaiians. but I think they got it right. Anyway - entertaining,
Looked it up on IMDB and in the trivia section I was surprised to learn that a lot of the first episode of Kamealoha is a re-telling of the first episode of Howser. Even using many of the same lines.
