Actually, I'm totally enjoying Donna Reed, Leave it to Beaver and That Girl, lol. I found them on peacock and Amazon prime so I'm going to start watching in order from season 1!Countdown to Christmas ended on Sunday. I cannot believe I have resorted to watching leave it to Beaver, my three sons, and Donna Reed.
I loved that show when it was on. Maybe I'll start watching it again.
If I had cable, I'm afraid I'd be watching nothing except the original "Lost In Space" (ohhh, the pain...), "Star Trek", "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea" (which had a LOT of sci-fi elements- including, but not limited to, aliens from other planets), "Dark Shadows", "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", "The Wild Wild West"... and whatever new similar
Ooh, I'd love to watch some good sci-fi. I don't think they make proper sci-fi any more these days, we have to go back to the classics.
I don't know if "Lost In Space" would be considered "good"
- it soon became a comedy (although there's nothing wrong with that). Personally, I liked the show. One of the main characters was a robot, and over the series, his character became quite developed (I refer to the robot as "him" because he had a male-sounding voice). The robot clearly had an advanced artificial intelligence and personality- a respected theme in science fiction by Asimov and others. One later episode appeared to show that he had become something more than a machine. In another episode, something caused him to grow to a huge size, in danger of running down and "dying", with Will and Dr. Smith going inside him to effect a repair.I loved Arrested Development! I think I have the first season on DVD. I should bust that out. When I got laid off from my newspaper job in Philly, a co-worker/friend would invite me over to watch a couple of episodes to cheer me up. So I ended up buying the first season.
