TV & Film The TV Room

We are now in Season 5 of The Resident and the one thing I really like about the show is that it makes me feel things.... it makes me laugh sometimes, it makes me cry and everything in between - for me that is how I measure shows and movies and it rates very highly.

I started watching Sky Med on Paramount+. It's a Canadian show that takes place up in the wilderness of Manitoba and is about paramedics that fly small planes to rescue and treat people. There are several Indigenous people featured. I have watched a couple episodes and it's pretty interesting. Of course there is drama among the young characters (most appear to be 20 somethings) and romance.

I thought The Penguin was really fab. I didn't watch The Batman film, but I think I will watch the second film. I read it has be delayed so it will come out in 2026!

We are about to watch The West Wing for the first time.

I watched it for the first time 20 years ago. After it was over and it came out on DVD. My library had the whole collection. Then about 10 years ago I watched it over again as reruns. I would watch it in the morning while eating breakfast or lunch.
It's good on so many levels.
One of the things I loved about it is that the world it portrays is such a "if only", and in mostly good ways.
What is both great and scary is that many of the plots and themes are still pretty much relevant.

"The show is not a documentary but rather an imagining of what our government could look like in a more perfect world."

Allison Janney from The West Wing is in The Diplomat. It is set in the UK, I think you would like it. It is on Netflix.
