TV & Film The Walking Dead

Watched it.

Oh. Wow. Uh. Okay.
  1. Lizzie is... just... ugh. Bunnies... she didn't even eat them! That's not hunting, that's just remorseless and needless torture! Someone kill or rehabilitate that child, pronto.
  2. Glenn in riot gear is badass and sexy.
  3. TYREESE NO CAROL KILLED YOUR GIRLFRIEND DON'T TRUST HER but also do trust her because she knows how to survive in this world BUT DON'T HER MORALITY IS ALMOST NON-EXISTENT but do because she knows what to do BUT SHE MESSED UP THOSE TWO LITTLE GIRLS REALLY BAD but they're better-equipped to survive BUT THEY KILL BUNNIES (I have a lot of conflicting feelings on Carol)
  4. Tara needs another girlfriend, pronto. No fun being alone in the zombie apocalypse.
  5. Note to self: never let Beth see shoes because apparently those just push her over the edge.
  6. I wish I knew who the three new characters are, but I'm not that far in the comic yet.
  7. I need to order more of the comic.
  8. Judith is alive, surprising precisely no one.
  9. They better not drag out Glenn and Maggie, but you know they're going to.

1. OMG that girl is coming close to Governor craziness. Actually I think she might just be a bit more insane. At least the Governor wasn't a baby killer or almost baby killer. This girl is going to be dangerous. I can see her offing her own sister just for the hell of it.
2. Did I miss the wedding? I saw Maggie's ring so I knew they were married, but they never showed it right?
3. I did not see that coming at all. I figured Carol would show up at some point, but to pair her with Tyrese! It's going to get interesting when he finds out the truth.
4. Agreed.
5. I really hope she doesn't hook up with Daryl.
6. They are totally comic bookish! With the outfits and the stache. They reminded me of GI Joe characters.

It was a good episode. I like how they updated us on what's been going on with the remaining characters. I like that instead of the one or two character centered episode. This way we got to see some character development in multiple people instead of it being all focused on just one or two.

I kept wanting to look at this thread before I watched it, another great episode.

I wasn't expecting to see Glenn turn up in that position.

Lizzie seems extremely disturbed. Are we meant to think it was Lizzie who killed the two people and Carol took the blame?

This was my immediate thought after the bunny scene and then the Judith scene. The girl has no soul left.

I missed the bunny scene...no idea how. Was it at night?

Yes, it was at night, I missed it the first time around but The Talking Dead cemented it for me and I've watched it again twice since then, so...

The Judith scene was freaky. Like Chris Hardwick said, she looked dangerously close to discovering that she had "found her passion" in killing.

I don't want Beth to hook up with Daryl either. Carol/Daryl forever. It just works, plus their names rhyme.

Maggie and Glenn didn't ever really have a ceremony but they did have a discussion and he gave her the ring and everything. Very similar to the comic. I think that him calling her his wife was more of a symbolic dedication to finding her than anything.

Lizzie, I think, is an increasingly good example of how bad this world is for children. Not just because it gets them killed (Sophia) or makes them grow up too fast (Carl), but because it mentally screws them up. I still blame this particular case on Carol. Shame, because I agree with her reasoning almost 100%.

1) I guess we know who was dissecting and/or feeding rats to the zombies.

2) Ditto. It's too bad there weren't more suits to go around.

3) I thought Carol would come back in the same way that Andrea did (in the comic book.) When that didn't happen I wasn't sure, but I'm glad she's back. I think her character will result in some very compelling episodes.

4) Tara has beautiful eyebrows.

5) I missed something...

6 & 7) I have them all in a compendium edition - just have not read them yet.

8) Judith w/ Tyreese = doom for all three kids and Tyreese. I predict in the coming weeks he'll be appreciative of Carol in ways he never imagined possible. It will be then that someone informs him it was Carol who burned up his girlfriend. Also: The storyline of smothering a baby to keep them quiet was used in an episode of Mash. It drove Hawkeye a little nuts.

9)Yep.

I LOVE the way they are presenting the storylines in flashback mode. Through Daryl and Beth we saw the dead bunnies, crushed grapes - the scene at the train tracks, and later saw what led to those moments. Very cool. This was disturbing to me when the episode began to focus on Maggie and Glenn - because I thought Glenn might somehow end up on the bus. I mean - we never did see who it was she knifed in the last scene....

Who is excited about 'Terminus?' Ahhhhh....I love it!

Hmm... in terms of the rats, am I the only one who thinks maybe it was Lizzie's sister? The one who tends to sympathize with the walkers a lot. It'd be a good twist if she was also mentally f*cked up by Carol's brute lessons, just in a different way.

The shoe was what Beth saw that pushed her over the edge. I guarantee it was just her seeing the dead people and being generally horrified and knowing that the tracks they saw in the woods just led to these people and not anything hopeful, but the shot focused on one of their shoes and I was really confused because I thought it was significant in some other way (baby shoe? One of the girls' shoes? Maggie? Herschel???) but I guess it was not.

Now that is an interesting theory.

The shoe confused me as well. I thought that it belonged to someone significant as well.

Okay I remember now - right! The next scene my wife and I were looking for someone who was wearing similar shoes.

You could be right about Lizzie's sister. I guess I was thinking about the rat that was diseccted - the one Tyreese showed Rick and Daryl - right before all hell broke loose.

I hope I did that right.

I'm going to watch the episode again as I don't remember the bit about the shoes!

The shoe Beth saw was the same as the ones the younger little girl was wearing so I think she thought the little girl was one of the bodies.

I just read this and I swear I keep missing loads of significant points from every episode.:bag: I might have to start watching TTD. I was wondering why the episode was called Inmates and it was to do with the sign.

Most intense episode so far this season! I really enjoyed this episode.

Warning spoilers ahead:
As much as Carl annoys me , I really like how Michonne is bonding with him. I am glad she is getting more comfortable and opening up about her past.
My heart was pounding during all the scenes with Rick. OMG! Talk about edge of your seat intensity! That man is like a ninja. So quiet and sneaky. Although I didn't understand how none of those guys heard all the chaos that was going on in the bathroom.
I'm glad we learned more about this new group going to Washington. The scientist dude was so robotic though . (Is it just me or does he look just like Bill Paxton?) I want to know more about what he knows!

Regarding the previews for next week: I'm not liking the narration from Beth. I'm not really liking Beth in general, but I find the narration annoying.

I agree with the above, only I also have to add that I absolutely do not like Abraham Ford. I'm sure his storyline will be interesting enough, but his character annoys the hell out of me.

Mostly because of the fact that he seems to think getting Eugene (that was the scientist's name, right?) to DC is going to change anything. What really is there to rebuild that just knowing what the zombie virus is will help? Also, if he's so important, way to let him get himself into a fire fight with a bunch of zombies. Dumbass. And nice job letting him wreck your truck.

Oh, and the rest of my disdain for his character may be, oh, I don't know, HE TRIED TO STRANGLE GLENN. DON'T TOUCH MY BABY.

I understand that the writers are trying to follow the comic books as close as possible, but I'm finding Abraham, Eugene and whatsherface's outfits and overall appearances to be ridiculous. They are a bit too cartoonish and over the top. I find it very distracting and it's hard to take them seriously.

So do you think the group that invaded the house will go after Rick, Carl , and Michonne? I don't think we've seen the last of them and I suspect that they will show up again at some point.

Eh, it's always seemed a bit over the top to me, but I know exactly what you mean.

Wow, I hadn't even thought of this. Certainly they'll find their dead guy sooner or later and figure it out.

I was really tense when he was under the bed!

I know! That was the scream at the screen bit for the characters acting so stupid.

The dead guy already found them in the form of a zombie. That's why Rick opened the door up before he jumped out the window. The move that ultimately provided Rick the distraction he needed to get away once he was outside by the porch. Very clever.

This episode didn't really do much for me. It was all right - just no 'wow' factor.
