TV & Film The Walking Dead

I knew someone was going down. I am actually surprised Hershel lasted as long as he did. I thought for sure he was a goner during the episode a few weeks back when the flu zombies were attacking. At first I was ****** that Michonne didn't slice the Governor's head off, but having his new gf take him out was pretty awesome. I don't know what to believe about Judith. I am not convinced anyone is dead unless I see a body. And how about those two little girls that Carol trained? Those crazy cold hearted kids are hard core. I wouldn't want to **** them off! Sucks that everyone got all separated. Of course I cannot wait till February!!!!

I don't think I want to watch it, now. :(
Stupid writers.

This was the kind of episode I've come to expect from great series'. Edge of your seat - not sure what is going to happen next - anything goes. Love it. Pretty much every episode of Breaking Bad was like this - but I digress...

On a critical level: Why the hell didn't Rick send some shooters out of the prison to outflank the attackers? They could have set up two or three people in the woods while he and the Gov were talking - and when the shooting started they could have caused an awful lot of chaos and done some major damage - that group wouldn't have any idea how many people were in the woods behind them, and with bullets flying everywhere, I don't give them much of a chance. Not to mention - someone should have immediately sniped the Gov if they could have.

The Gov confused me by killing Herschel - I thought for certain he would take out Michonne first. 1) He has a personal vendetta against her. 2) Herschel is infinitely less dangerous should things go south - eh - which they did. Sorry, Gov - that was a bad choice. Michonne is awesomely lethal. YEAH!

I know it's television and perhaps I missed something - but I don't recall there being any vehicle down there for Rick to duck behind when the shooting started. I don't think even poor shooters of that number could fail to put a bullet in the one target directly in front of them. It was a bad move for Rick to get into firing range. Tactically, if I were the Governor, I would have shot him dead straightaway and demanded to speak with someone else. With the hostages in peril and their leader taken out, that really ups the ante for those in the prison.

We should start up a Dead Pool for this show. IMHO there are only two characters that they won't consider killing off. Rick and Daryl. And I may even put Daryl ahead of Rick in that category. Herschel has been on the bleeding edge (sorry) of being killed off for quite awhile now - so I'm not surprised his number came up. Knowing that a show has no problem killing off major characters is scary but certainly adds to the drama. The challenge will be for the writers to continually introduce new, likable characters that the audience can become attached to.

All - around stellar finale!

I was actually quite upset about "feaux-Maggie" honestly. We get a queer character and they're immediately killed off. Although I certainly think those little girls did the right thing, she would've killed Tyreese if they hadn't intervened, and it goes to show that Carole was right to teach them how to use weapons if they needed to.

I miss Carol, damn it! I also noticed there was no memoriam for Judith. Was it left out on purpose because she was just a baby or on accident or a clue that she was not killed? And this http://www.latintimes.com/articles/...4-spoilers-judith-dead-alive.htm#.Up6becRDtp4
I think over my winter school break I might try to find and read the comics, maybe.

I think you should! It is really good and fun to watch for similarities and differences when you watch the TV show.

The comic.
Has a lot of similarities, bu a lot of differences. I am way past where the show left off. I love Andrea in the comic, she is such a bad ***. I read that and I am upset that he show played her like hey did. I like the relationship between Sophia and Carl. I hated how weak Carol was and her suicide. I like how Michonne and Rick bonded over that hey both "spoke" to heir dead loved ones. I could go on, there are bits that I like and don't like about both.

I really get what you mean about Carol and Andrea, it's like their characters got switched or something for the show. Michonne is probably my favorite character in the comic. She does so great against everything that life throws at her. Carl is a lot less annoying in the comic as well.

I thought the episode was really good. I like the character development and I am looking forward to seeing what is happening with everyone.
