TV & Film The Walking Dead

Urban Dictionary: put on a clinic Oh, now I understand what that means.

Haha...I was, like, WTHeck is Dedalus talking about? I thought it was something crazy auto correct came up with, lol.

I kind of liked the episode. I get that they have to get into the whole character development thing, but I become attached to characters as a group so I don't like it when they split people up for any length of time. I don't like separate story lines. I'm thinking that's an unpopular opinion. :p

This episode was almost exactly like the graphic novel. The TV show deviates quite a lot a good bit of the time but this one was almost word for word a copy of issues 49 and 50. Read it y'all!! :D

Me too! I was so confused. Thank you Moll for looking that up.
This episode was almost exactly like the graphic novel.
I could really see that with certain scenes even though I haven't read the book. I wonder if they will keep it up throughout the whole season.

I got sad when Carl got all excited over finding the videogames. For a brief moment he was able to be a normal kid again.

So is this a spoiler warning thread now or what?

Anyways... Carl made me angry, he was SO mean to Rick. I understand he's going through a lot, but some of the things he said... But at the same time, I felt for him, in a way that I usually don't, because even though he went off and did something stupid again I felt like he actually learned a lesson this time.

Michonne was badass as usual, and I felt awful for her. I haven't gotten even quite to the point in the comic where this episode is lifted from, so there's probably more explained about Michonne that I haven't read, but... I get the feeling that her lover either turned and killed their child or killed himself and the child to avoid having to live in that world. Anyways, character complexity for the win!

Ending was sweet.

Not looking forward to the next episode. GLENNNNN!

I think it should be a given that if one hasn't watched the latest episode and doesn't want to ruin it for one's-self, then they should stay clear. Some people use spoiler tags and some (myself included) don't.

Michonne's backstory is going to be really interesting. I haven't reached that point in the comic either....

Danai Gurira has played Michonne so well that seeing the character in the pre-zombie apocalypse world is jarring.

Definitely. Danai is obviously putting on a clinic of character study.

:wave:Moll, KL, Faded - see what I did there? :p

Clever.;)

I really want Carl to open the door to see Michonne standing there with the empty pudding can. The actor who plays Carl is at that awkward teenage stage where his voice is in the process of changing. One minute it's child like and the other it's deeper and manly. It's perfect timing for this episode. I felt like it helped to display the internal conflict within the character.

Oh. Wow. Uh. Okay.
  1. Lizzie is... just... ugh. Bunnies... she didn't even eat them! That's not hunting, that's just remorseless and needless torture! Someone kill or rehabilitate that child, pronto.
  2. Glenn in riot gear is badass and sexy.
  3. TYREESE NO CAROL KILLED YOUR GIRLFRIEND DON'T TRUST HER but also do trust her because she knows how to survive in this world BUT DON'T HER MORALITY IS ALMOST NON-EXISTENT but do because she knows what to do BUT SHE MESSED UP THOSE TWO LITTLE GIRLS REALLY BAD but they're better-equipped to survive BUT THEY KILL BUNNIES (I have a lot of conflicting feelings on Carol)
  4. Tara needs another girlfriend, pronto. No fun being alone in the zombie apocalypse.
  5. Note to self: never let Beth see shoes because apparently those just push her over the edge.
  6. I wish I knew who the three new characters are, but I'm not that far in the comic yet.
  7. I need to order more of the comic.
  8. Judith is alive, surprising precisely no one.
  9. They better not drag out Glenn and Maggie, but you know they're going to.

I'm so messed up with what day it is since I haven't had work since last Wednesday so I forgot to watch. :( I can catch it on demand but I have to wait 24 hours. Sounds good...except for the bunnies. Can't wait!

Great episode! Can't wait for the story to move forward with Abraham and his group. I will not comment more until everyone has seen this weeks episode.

I'm very odd in that I love spoilers and prefer to know what's going to happen before I watch. Lol

Ooooo...I think it's on demand now!

ETA: watching it! :)

I skipped over Forty Two's post because I haven't seen it yet either since I can't seem to find a live streaming feed online (I don't have cable.).

What? Wow that was fast. Last season they waited till the end of the week to put it up on demand. Good thing I'm going to someone's house today that has cable.

Loved, loved, loved this episode and that is all I will say for now. ❤

I kept wanting to look at this thread before I watched it, another great episode.

I wasn't expecting to see Glenn turn up in that position.

Lizzie seems extremely disturbed. Are we meant to think it was Lizzie who killed the two people and Carol took the blame?
