TV & Film The Walking Dead

I have gone off Carol after this episode. She threatened the little kid in the same way a child molester would, keep quiet and I will give you something as a reward or, tell anyone the truth and I will kill you. Ew, seriously creepy and out of character.:dismay:

Except she isn't a child molester though? She was trying to keep secret the fact that she's preparing for the possibility that Alexandria could go downhill, which despite its dishonesty is actually pretty smart. In a weird way I do have to agree though? Anything with Carol and kids makes me anxious after everything we've seen.

And yeah it's seriously creepy but we are talking about the woman who killed two innocent people and burned their corpses because it might help slightly curb an illness, so I don't know if I'd say out of character. Definitely really ****ed up though.

I like Carol as a character, far more than I like her as a person. It is really interesting how much living in this world has completely changed her. I think her character arc is even more interesting than Rick's, in terms of how different she's become.

I wonder what the "W" was on the walker's head?

I am really worried about what this means.

There are only 3 episodes left for this to go way way downhill, things are going to start happening fast. That or they won't screw things up and end it on a cliffhanger, in which case I'd seriously question their writing.

Where the hell is the annoying priest, did he die?o_O

Nope, looks like he's in the next episode? I think? Pretty sure his face was in the teaser afterward. I could be remembering wrong, he didn't die though. Maybe his character will be put to the side now, which would be kind of nice. I do also think he's sort of annoying.

Thanks. I thought maybe I had missed something important with what happened to the priest!:)

Hmm, Carol. I'm still very put off by that behaviour. I wouldn't harm or threaten an innocent little kid, no matter what happened to me, well I like to think so. :p She did kill a kid but that was understandable under the circumstances.

I hope Spang isn't reading this! :D

I actually think it does somewhat go with her character, as shown in situations like the sickness that threatened them back at the prison.

I don't think there is any malice in her. She has no desire to hurt the kid. She is looking at the bigger picture and simply achieving that objective at all costs, not allowing short sighted compassion to interfere with what everyone needs in the long term.

I'm going to have to watch the episode again because I missed what Carol said to the kid! Lol. Damn!

I also thought when I was watching that Carol would have had the sense to check she wasn't being followed.

I think the love story that might be developing could be interesting. I like Rick more than I used to as he isn't acting like such a dictator to the group. I thought he was going to have a romance with Michonne at one point.

Some of my thoughts on the series so far:

Rick's hair doesn't seem to grow, and his beard is too well manicured for a zombie apocalypse.

And where did Andrea get her pedicure before she died?

The name of my indie-folk band will be Post-apocalyptic Pedicured Feet.

Hershel's shotgun has unlimited ammo and no recoil.

Daryl and Michonne are my favorite characters (Danai Gurira is great in The Visitor).

I also like Andrea's bad-assery.

Many of the characters have headshot hacks installed.

I've fallen in lust with Lauren Cohan.

I've read, like, the first 8 or so pages in this thread.

Season four is out the door. Watching season five will require some illegal activities.

Also, I finally like Rick.

The first episode of season five has been the best episode of the series, hands down.

Many of the characters have headshot hacks installed.

Only when using inaccurate weapons, though. With a short barreled pistol, it's head shots only. With a long barreled rifle, anything past 20 feet has nothing to worry about.

The fight with the governor where Hershel died was ridiculous. They were fighting about 25 to 50 meters away from each other using weapons easily capable of precise 300 to 500 meter shots without even bothering to seek cover or concealment and somehow managed to not hit anything.

You caught up really quickly Spang. :DI couldn't watch some of the first episode in series 5 as it was too much for me.:hurl:

I keep hearing the Governor doing voice over work for adverts and it seems weird to hear him talking about mundane things.:p

There are lots of ridiculous bits in TWD, they always seem to be surprised by walkers even though they walk slowly and make a lot of noise so you would obviously hear them coming a mile off.

Much better episode for me. But I'm so mad. [emoji16]

I had a revelation about Carol and feel a little better. I should have thought of it sooner but I'll wait to elaborate. I can't do spoilers even though I thought it was safe to post spoilers in this thread...and it's not even a spoiler, but just in case, lol.

It's really building up for the finale, that's for sure. A lot of great comic panel to screen moments last night too.
