TV & Film The Walking Dead

I always have to re-watch it during the week because I am just so damned tired I can't pay attention when I try to watch it on Sunday.

I wasn't watching it properly at the start so I had to watch it again as I could not understand what the owl thing was all about. I didn't watch the two gruesome scenes again, wow, unbelievably gory and over the top. I would have left that d**k Nicholas staked to the ground to be eaten but then Glenn might have thought that he needed to be brought back to say what happened to the others, even though he will probably lie!

Aiden kind of redeemed himself, though they usually do that before they kill someone off. Nicholas I would have killed myself the second I caught up with him at the van. Though, I suppose if Glenn managed to come back without either one of them it might have looked kind of suspicious.

Oh and, I've gotta say it... We are, predictably, back down to one black guy!

^ Exactly, I cannot believe they killed off another black male character and you think the priest is going to end up dead soon.

I hope that Rick, Michonne, Glenn, Maggie, Carl, the baby and Daryl will be safe from being killed off. I don't care about Carol or the others that much.

I will be watching the spinoff. 'The Walking Dead' Spinoff To Be Shot In Vancouver

One of the most interesting things about the way the show has played out in regards to reference material is the use of composite characters. From the time the writers decided the kill off the Andrea character they started to develop Carol's character to fill Andrea's role in the story and later Sasha to take up some slack from Carol. They have done this all along, Hershel was a duel role, they had the character also fulfilling the role of Dale. It's a pretty clever way to kind of throw off those that are already familiar with the story and how it's supposed to play out from the published reference material.

Yes, that's very true. I want to enjoy the show for that reason.

But they simply cannot stop killing off black characters and that infuriates me.

This is our third black main character down this season! Think about that!

Could we perhaps be over analyzing? Again going on reference material, Bob's purpose was to stand in for Dale, he served that purpose very well. Tyreese... Well.. His timeline was pretty well skewed in the show, he also ran his course as a character. And Noah was an open ended character, or could have been. My hopes were upon realizing Heath from the comics doesn't seem to have been casted that Noah would fulfill that character's role, but no dice. I don't think race has much to do with it, just characters that served their purpose for the story arches.

I love Glenn so much. [emoji173]️I think if they killed him off, I would stop watching.

I'm also attached to Darryl, Carol, Michonne, Rick, Carl and baby, pretty much in that order. I'm indifferent to Maggie but would hate to see her go because of the impact it would have on Glenn.

I have no feelings or attachments to the other characters, with the exception of, maybe, Eugene since his character is evolving. The rest of his crew are, eh, at best.

I do realize they all serve a purpose. I'm basing this solely on my own, personal feelings.

I'm wondering if Carol's bizarre speech to that kid makes a little more sense to me now. In the last episode where he went to herhouse for cookies and she didn't want to talk to him, it occurred to me she may be acting that way as a defense, not wanting to get close to another kid, especially after what happened with the two sisters (I'm so bad with names, lol...Lizzie and ?). Carol was always so good with children. I think she's trying to protect herself. She's just going a little overboard.

I think that Eugene and Abraham have both redeemed themselves in the last episode as they both were brave but I hope that doesn't mean that they will kill off one of the main characters. Michonne hasn't really been in it that much though so maybe she might go? The priest will be killed (I assume) so they can't kill off another black character though surely?

I'm the same way.:D

* chants* Hell no, Michonne can't go!
Haha.

I still think the show should pull a Game of Thrones and kill off Rick.

Not because I don't like Rick, but because he is the Safest Character and that's the opposite of what we'd expect.

The group then fractures as Carl and Judith feud over who takes the throne.

At this point they're following the comic so well. Really digging that... Call me crazy but I love making those connections... Like wow that's exactly how it happened in the comic... It makes me want to do a quick memory refresher starting with issue #75 or so

I thought that was a really good episode as I was not expecting Michonne to shut Rick up in that way, haha.

I would have told the doctor that he had to behave himself and leave the woman alone or I would put him in a jail and not let him access to his kid/s, and maybe food and water.:D ETA He would have to still perform surgery in return for being allowed to stay within the community.

The part with the woman tied to the tree was really creepy.

What was the significance of the red balloon?o_O

I was in a rush earlier. I meant to say that I am still really sad about Noah being killed off.:( I don't think I have mourned any other character in this way. What a shame.

I think the actor who plays Glenn looks much more good looking that he did when he first joined. I really hope he and Daryl don't get killed off in the finale as they are my favourite characters, along with Michonne.
