TV & Film The Walking Dead

Exactly!

The reason I think it is Glenn is because everyone thinks it's not him as that would be 'too obvious'. But then that would make it the most shocking as people think he's safe? & also that would be the most upsetting because of Maggie etc.

In relation to the way things play out in the comic book, Maggie needs to lose Glenn for her to grow as a character as well... It also kind of drives a wedge between Maggie and Rick because Rick didn't pull any sort of heroics to try to stop it.

I kept seeing, somewhere, that Negan doesn't kill women or children. Not sure it's true, though.

Yeah, Negan has a code of ethics for sure. He doesn't condone killing and raping women and children. There was actually a panel in one issue where he actually kills a Savior for raping Holly (Already dead in the show)... And Negan kind of develops a bit of an odd bond with Carl.

If I was producing the show - I'd kill off a major character AND a minor character as well. The first scene of the next season would reveal Eugene as the character who got hit with Lucille in the finale.' When the collective fan base breathed a sigh of relief - I'd have Negan turn to Glenn or another more vital character and kill him/her too. Thereby putting an exclamation point on this group's initiation, seeing as they took out several of Negan's crew. They do this - and they even one-up the comic.

Actually I take it back. I was thinking about it and have to correct what I said. Negan does not mind killing women. It's rape he does not condone. Negan killed Holly.

I watched the last episode of FTWD last night and it was much better than I remembered. I also saw the Flight 462 afterwards and one of the characters is meant to be joining the new series. I'm looking forward to it starting again.:)

Why not a woman?

I doubt they would do that, I don't know... I'm sure I will end up reading who it is at some point before the show starts.:D

I'm watching, too...You know what I would hate most about being in a zombie apocalypse? Being dirty and sweaty all the time, lol. For some reason, seeing Daryl escape from Dwight and the women just made me think of that.
Completely agree! I have baby wipes and the giant hospital wipes in my hurricane kit. Also a few things of Crystal deoderant.

The Fear the Walking Dead premier was pretty good. I do not "know" these people well enough yet to really care about them though.

Same here. Which brings me to a point I tried to make on FB when people say you're not a "true fan" of a show if you stop watching after a particular character dies off (i.e. Daryl or Glenn). Personally, I don't need to be a true fan. For me, I invest in the characters more than the storyline. If I can't connect with them, I'm just not interested. It doesn't matter if the story is a good one. Apparently, there are a lot of people who feel the same way.

Take Greys Anatomy...I made it through after Izzie left, then the sweet boy, I think he was burned (can't remember his name...George?), then Christina and Derek. Guess who rarely watches the show anymore. It just doesn't work for me anymore. Guess I'm not a true fan. Ooooooooo. Lol

The good thing about having such a good, large cast is you can usually survive a few characters dying off. I will still be watching if it ends up being Daryl or Glenn but not going to lie...they need to bring in new characters that I can love as much as those two. As good as Eugene and Abraham are, and I like them, they don't make the cut, IMO. I'm hoping that Jesus and some of the Kingdom people help fill the void. I need a really strong, good person to come in if they are going to start killing off the good guys. I have to say, I'm pretty psyched for October.

I tend to agree with you about connecting with the characters. I am hoping I can with someone on Fear the Walking Dead. I do relate to your comments about "true fans." I have been upset by a couple shows in the past and DID stop watching but this was many years ago. One of the shows was Highlander when they killed the main characters wife and the other was Deep Space Nine. I am a bit of a scifi geek! :D

Since I read the Walking Dead comic, I know what is going to happen down the road and which characters need to develop. Jesus will become quite important and is a favorite of many comic readers. I don't really have a favorite myself but I am looking forward to watching Maggie progress toward leadership.

Fear the Walking Dead will help make the wait until October bearable! :D
