TV & Film The Walking Dead

I thought it might be Abraham as he sort of volunteered when he looked up, like he sacrificed himself? I don't know... I thought before I watched the episode that it was going to be Maggie, but I hoped it couldn't be.

ETA - So I thought as well it might be Eugene as he hugged Abraham and it might have been a send off, or it could be one of the more minor characters like Rosita or Aaron. So basically I have it narrowed down to anyone but Rick and Carl, lol.

My bet is on Glenn as well. [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

I don't think it will be a minor character. It has to be a character big enough to feel like a big punch in the stomach... My "definitely safe" list is Rick, Carl, Michonne, Rosetta, Aaron, and Eugene... I guess they COULD kill Abe, but from what I heard Robert Kirkman regretted not having Abraham around for the "All Out War" story arc in the comic book, so All Out War will be re-imagined with Abe in it. So I doubt it's Abe... Them making it seem like it could be Eugene I think was definitely a psych out too.

Not long ago I posted pictures of basically that entire scene playing out in the comic if anyone wants to back track in the thread to see/read it.

The entire recent arc with Carol did feel a bit unrealistic to me. I guess everyone has a breaking point, though. I suppose. Morgan certainly came back from worse.

I honestly think Eugene is gonna die at some point here. Not by Negan's hand, but maybe in the near future. Seems like something they would pull, they definitely set themselves up for the possibility.

Abe offering himself as a sacrifice means absolutely *nothing* to Negan. The dude is principled, he needs this death to be entirely arbitrary, to make it clear he's not picking anyone for any specific reason. Just a price to be paid by Alexandria for messing with his people.

Also, if they go with a minor character, or even a secondary character really, it won't have the needed effect. I could see them doing that, I guess, but I'd be ****** if they did. Shameful way to use this extremely dramatic and traumatizing character death from the comics.

The more I thought about the finale the more I hated the way it was done. The tedious driving around as well. Just ugh. I'm sure I won't really care who Negan hurt by the time the show starts again.

I haven't watched The Talking Dead yet. It looks like I'm not the only one who didn't like it, I had forgotten about the two new people that met Carol and Morgan.

The Walking Dead season 6 finale: "Last Day on Earth" is the worst episode the show has ever done - Vox

I don't think it was the worst epsiode ever, but I think lots of fans were really anticipating something amazing.

I did like when Abraham said "***** Nuts":D that was the highlight, along with Negan. It made me laugh how they must have toned down Negan's language, from what Jeremy said it is a lot more colourful in the comic.:p

It was very anti-climatic for me but I thought that was because I was stubborn and obsessed with trying to find out every possible spoiler/scenario. I don't really mind because I'm fine now. Stress is gone for some reason. So it's good, for me, that it played out the way it did. In my mind, everyone is alive/safe until October. Once Summer is over it will be time for me to get worked up again.

My three children all watch and refuse to talk to me about the show because they don't want any spoilers slipping out. They thought the episode was good but think the ending was dumb. I was surprised by that since they had no idea what was coming. They're not as excited about season 7, either, whereas I am because I have an idea of the possibilities of the direction the show will be going.

It's all very interesting to see how different people are reacting. The writers/producers must be thrilled, lol.

I really liked it a lot how they did the road blocks. Think of it this way, what did all the road blocks truly tell us? It's building tension and displaying the superiority of the Saviors, and how much Rick and company underestimated them. They have truly bit off more than they can chew through their extreme arrogance. By the last half hour of the episode it's written all over Rick's face that his confidence is fading fast, instead Rick has a look of shock and sheer terror on his face. Negan and the Saviors have out done them in every way imaginable at this point and them being herded right into Negan's clutches was a testament to just how resourceful and smart they are.

Negan didn't hurt someone.... So get that out of your heads.... When Negan uses Lucille to get people to fall in line, when he is done there is no head left. The victim is deader than dead. Someone on that cast no longer has a job. 1000% guaranteed!

Now a spoiler and I'm not going to even use a spoiler tag because this one should be obvious to everyone already.... They will have to actually work for Negan! At least for awhile it will seem that way... I'll say it again, Negan and the Saviors are 100% out of Rick & co's league... The only way to fight will be for all the oppressed communities to come together. Everyone involved will have to evolve to win the war against Negan. Expect MAJOR changes season 7.

Maybe Eugene will get Spencer's death... But then again they're setting it up so Spencer gets Spencer's death lol... Over all I agree, very well said, FortyTwo. 100% agree.

I just watched Talking Dead and it was actually one that I sat through and watched to the end as I wanted to see what they said about the negative reaction to the episode.:D Also it may have been because a certain person was on there.:flirt: It was quite funny, especially the one eyed dog talking.

I forgot about Fear the Walking Dead! I hope the second series is better as the finale was quite decent as I remember. I'm going to watch it again before it starts.

My guess is Glenn, too!

I really thought for a moment that was the end for Carol. She's been losing her **** for a while and I kept thinking they were buiding up to her death in the last few episodes.

I did quite like the episode, although they dragged the end scene out far too much. & the actual ending was EXTREMELY SHITTY. Wtf, it would've been far better to just show us who it was. Then we would've been left shocked.

I loved the roadblocks, too, particularly the one with the walkers chained together.

I keep thinking it shouldn't be Glenn because it's too obvious, I read he was going to die ages ago so it will just seem kind of meh if it happens. It's nice that we are basically waiting for months to see who gets beaten to death on screen.:p

I posted on one of the FB pages, something to the effect of, we should have a pool to see how long we will be talking about the last scene...my bet is we'll be talking about it until October, lol.

I don't think anyone thought it was funny...they're ignoring me, haha.

The FB people are so funny!

Aaron is too minor a character to die in such a dramatic fashion. I really can't see it being anyone but Glenn but the show has been known to fool us before.
