It has already been foreshadowed I think.
Where? I'll believe it but I didn't notice (or at least don't remember) foreshadowing.

Ehh... I feel like the struggle Carol's facing right now isn't just an extension of the abuse she faced, which was her struggle in the comic. TV Carol was able to overcome what her comic book counterpart succumbed to.
Comic Carol succumbed to rejection of the opposite sex, which never applied to TV Carol... But perhaps that was just on the surface and abuse did play a role.
And the same sex!
Tbh I don't remember a lot of the earliest stuff from the comics - it's been a while and I didn't really start getting into it until somewhere around the middle of the prison arc, so the majority of Carol's development I've probably forgotten. I remember her trying to make out with Lori and then killing herself, and that's pretty much it.
No, she didn't try to make out with Lori... She propositioned Rick and Lori to join their marriage. I don't know, I'm kind of like a sponge for retaining details
Actually, you're right... Carol did kiss Lori when she went to Lori to propose joining their marriage after Rick had turned her down. I just had to go to read a couple issues after feeling a little doubt about what I had previously said.
I feel very disconnected and having a hard time with the show this season. But then, it was happening slowly, for me, since the deaths of Glenn and Abraham. I found #174 interesting. It seems like the die-hardest fans, now, are those who’ve been following the comics. I keep watching because I'm invested but I find myself not caring about what happens and who dies at this point. I hope that changes for me. It’s not really enjoyable to watch “just because”. Several people I’ve talked to feel the same way and none of us read the comics.
I agree on the damned if they do, damned if they don’t, and the description of the three sets of fans and I fall mostly into the second category.
