It's been raining since 6 am. They have forecast T storms and rain all day long. So happy to have some cool weather.

Idalia is expected to be a category 3 hurricane when it comes ashore somewhere between Tampa and Tallahassee. It can "wobble" either East or West. Most of the state is under watches and warnings. We will get tropical storm rain and wind here. Tampa might get a much harder hit. Of course the news is now nothing but hurricane updates and people are doing the usual panic buying at the store. I went to get cat food and the little Walmart was really busy.

Morning/afternoon y'all! It is cloudy with a little breeze right now but we will get some bands of storms throughout the day and lots of rain. It is really bad over there where it is going to hit which is in a couple hours. We are under a tornado watch which is standard during hurricanes.

It keeps feeling chilly here at night. I took the temperature in my room last night and it was under 19! It is almost at the point that I switch the heating on and it isn't even September yet!

We're expected to get a heat wave this weekend here in the Northeastern U.S., too. But last night and this morning were cool.

We had yellow warning of storms suddenly, but it has been fine here. Someone said online that her area of Kent had flash flooding. I'm in Essex so I thought it might travel over here too.

We got rain today so was a bit cooler. The weekend is going to be nice but hot of course.

It was really nice out early this morning! It felt cool at 69 degrees.
