This is yet another author I was not aware of who has lots of books!

many of them are not for everyone as they are very "sexy" - the last two I have listed are not focused on that although I haven't reached the 'good' parts of my current one yet so it may be also - I do love this author especially the Rock Chick series

Just finished "We Lived on the Horizon" by Erika Swyler. It is a new book that must have come up on one of my reading lists suggestions. It is a dystopian novel that is beautifully written and though it is kind of slow going at first, I ended up loving this book. It is about a city controlled by an AI called Parallax. Centuries have passed since an unspecified apocalypse. There is a very complicated system in place with a privileged class called The Sainted whose homes are run by house systems that communicate with the City and each other. Everything is controlled but there have been some "glitches" and then a Sainted is found murdered in his home. The main characters are 2 older Sainted women who were previously in a relationship and still love each other, a few "outsiders", and some very interesting AI systems. There is not only the very creative science fiction aspects but also the relationships among the characters. Really good book! I will look for more of this authors books.

Me again! Last time I was at the library, there was a display of books featuring cats. I picked one up, of course. It is "The Good, the Bad, and the Furry" by Tom Cox. This is a non-fiction book by a writer who writes about his cats (and other things such as golf). This book was a really fun read and I will get his other books about the cats in his life. I was laughing out loud at the funny stories in this book. There are also pictures of the cats throughout the book. Mr. Cox gives his cats human qualities and the descriptions are amusing and loving. He is a "crazy cat dude" who can tell a story in a very fun way. This book was published in 2013 and it saddens me to think that the wonderful cats in this book are probably in kitty heaven now. Mr. Cox lives in Norfolk, England and I am sure he has more cats.

Since I have so few hours at work which means no money, I have been just staying home and reading. Finished another book yesterday called "The Perfect Home." This is a debut novel by Daniel Kenitz and hopefully he will write some more psychological thrillers. This was so good, I couldn't put it down. Told from the perspective of both main characters, Wyatt and Dawn, who are a married couple that star in a home improvement reality show called The Perfect Home. Things become far from perfect when Wyatt starts behaving strangely after taking an illegal fertility drug which does work as they have twins. There is a lot of stuff about how reality shows work and the power of the media. Great fast read!

I finished it and am very much looking forward to the next one - at the end he hints that maybe the new group and the old group will meet at some point. Also, there is a movie coming out based on the first series sometime this year.

Today I read "The House in the Cerulean Sea" by TJ Klune. I kept hearing about this book but for some reason never read it until now when I found out there was a sequel. I loved this book so much! Wonderful fantasy about acceptance and love.

I read both of them. and yeah, I loved them both, too.
There is some talk about a movie.
and there is also a controversy - and not what you think. sugarcoating family separation in indigenous schools
personally I think the people who find it objectionable are trying to hard.

Wow, I didn't get that at all! And I have read a lot about that particular subject.

I am reading Hunt on Dark Waters by Katee Robert - they write a wide variety of book, some of them erotic and most of them are "spicy romances" - this one is fantastical yet human and very interesting, so far, although very dark and explicit in many ways. I thought I had read most of hers and yet looking at the website it appears I have ton more to read.

I also read Beyond the Whispering Door by TJ Klune. I like his style
I only read "Whispering Door", and I liked it; I started "Cerulean Sea", but lost interest for some reason.

I got the sequel to "Ninth House", by Leigh Bardugo, out of the library: "Hell Bent"- which was also a long book. The main characters from "Ninth House" are on a rescue mission- into hell, no less. I liked both books, but the second took longer to read for some reason.

I read two more Christina Lauren books the past couple of days - I so love their romances as they are a bit saucy and yet each storyline is so different from the norm. It is two authors working together and so maybe that helps to make things more interesting.
